Dat ending...

Oh and I spotted a NANA reference, one of my favorite anime series of all time. I highly recommend anyone to give it a try.

So the MC confesses in the 4th episode. Well, now we know the next 20 episodes aren't going to be about Banri figuring out he is in love with Kouko.

It may be a red herring, he may like her but is really in love with someone else. there are many interesting ways this can develop.

Is this a conjecture at this point? Or does Banri actually do? (Episode 3) I have this weird feeling about how Linda reacted to him looking at Kaga san sitting on the bench. She appeard like she was going to ask him to go get something to eat or drink. Then she nervously & abruptly stopped in her tracks. I get the feeling down the road it could get messy with Linda and Kaga San. Considering if Kaga San can get over Mitsuo. I mean the op and ed have her lovely dovey with Banri.

I am just getting to episode 4 , now

I am sure that it will be interesting, but I admit that I was a little worried that this was going to be a Toradora! Clone where Banri was going to fall in love with Kouko while trying to help her win over Yana. The story is by the same author.

That is all out the window now, which is a good thing, IMO.

The set up is all different, In Toradora there were no immediate indications of romance between the two. Here there are already hint of something between Him and Linda, but the feeling i get from Banri and Kaga is more sympathy

I have hard enough time remembering all the names of the anime I watch this season. Didn't even remember that Linda really isn't her name. Lol

That's OK. Everyone calls her Linda anyway. The fact that it is a nickname doesn't really matter. (The fact that she called Banri by his first name when she found him and Kouko in the woods probably does though...)

Yeah, the reveal at the end of episode 4 wasn't a surprise to me after that. Given that everyone forgets his name, yet Linda was casually calling him by his first name, was a given that she knew him well before his amnesia.

Another great episode but fast, two chapters down... except for the last couple of pages strangely since it had to do with the title... ah well! Onto book 2!

Oh and book 7 is here!

The Episode Title "Blackout" Im thinking its when Koko-san gets completely shut out of Mitsuo's life. Since this episode was that indeed, where Mitsuo tells Koko off.

Man so much happened this episode. Mitsuo finally sets things straight with Koko and moves on. Koko briefly dances with self-destruction, Tada confesses his feelings to Koko and to top it all off, the bombshell of Linda and Tada knowing each other in high school(and looking awfully close if those pics were anything to go by). Any one of those would have been good enough to make this a good episode. All of them combined made this a GREAT episode.

Only issue I had with this episode was Koko being a 110% bitch towards Chinami at the start of the episode. Granted she does admit regretting it later in the episode, but it was still rough to watch.

Yea, I can see where that would fit the title. I was thinking something like a flashback would occur with Banri & the flashback caused him to blackout.

Great ep As previously noted glad the relationship is out there now instead of Tada waiting around forever to speak of his feelings for Koko!

I <3 this show. And that is all I have to say.

Except the near yandere Koko. That was not cool. But, hey, it's realistic. Sometimes people do really awful stuff and regret it later.

EDIT: I did see people in the comments complaining about how the show is rushing through the source material, and although I haven't read it, the pacing does seem just a tick fast to me. I could have used maybe 1-2 more episodes before Tada confessed, just with some more bonding between them. As soon as he started talking I knew he was going to do it, but it seemed a bit abrupt. And Koko's response was surprisingly calm. Not sure how realistic I found that.

I have a lot of trust in author and studio though, so I'm anticipating explanation later on. A non-linear timeline is something I love, if done correctly.
