Also, I would like to know how the title of the episode "Blackout" was suppose to describe episode 3. Anyway, great episode nonetheless. Another week to wait.. The Episode Title "Blackout" Im thinking its when Koko-san gets completely shut out of Mitsuo's life. Since this episode was that indeed, where Mitsuo tells Koko off. Yea, I can see where that would fit the title. I was thinking something like a flashback would occur with Banri & the flashback caused him to blackout. The funny thing is... they stopped literally 5 pages shy... 5 pages... after blasting through 100 pages... But it was good! |

You should see her in the manga. She just completely snaps in comparison to here; downright terrifying and even a bit more violent. I wish I had the energy to read original sources. Seems I've been constantly running into the situation of LN being the source and the anime and manga being so inconsistent with each other. Either having moved or altered scenes, or having them replaced completely with an entirely different scene. |

ep 4
aww, watching Chinami get yelled at by Koko was heartbreaking ![]() ![]() but at least Koko knows that what she is doing is wrong now and they're finally making progress on her moving on from Mitsuou also, Mitsuou and Chinami make a cute couple and the ending was so expected since the first time we met Linda |

That was hard to watch. I expected Banri to step in there before Mitsuo. |

Love this show, the Honey and Clover love train kills me here (as I've been the caboose once lol) The pacing does seem fast but I once watched Death Note and thought "this is clearly going to be a 12 episode anime, no way it can go 24" and well.. that was wrong... so as long as the ride is great I'll enjoy it no matter the pace. |

But it is a bit odd, considering that they also skipped/postponed the first 5 pages and seem to have left out some stuff from there they may have to skip this as well. They will probably just skip to the call... It is adapted from the novels for time, order, to give the episodes dramatic beginnings and endings. It is quite faithful to the original material but also quite adapted for TV which is a good thing I think. While a bit rushed it was probably lucky to get 24 episodes so they have to move quickly with it to try and get as far as they can as a second season is always unlikely for material like this these days. |

Interesting. Makes me anticipate the next episode even more. Hopefully, the 5 pages will be at the beginning next week. |

Read up on the manga and I'd say we only have an episode or two before we catch up to what's translated. This Linda thing makes me wonder how much of this show is going to be about Banri's inner demons. This is turning into a great season.

She is friendly yeah, but not really hinted at of being any more than that. |

The best moment of the story so far: When Kouko yells at Mitsuo that if their memories don't mean anything to him, to forget them all, then, after he leaves, what is she upset about? Is it that the man she has loved and followed around for her entire life just made it perfectly clear that he will never even date her, let alone marry her? NO! She is upset because she just used forgetting all of your childhood memories as a way to express her anger and she is worried about how much that must have hurt BANRI, her only real friend.
That is the moment when Kouko became a real girl and not an archetype. |

Wow, things started moving pretty fast this episode. I'm pleasantly surprised that they aren't trying to drag out the status quo established in the first 3 episodes. Plus the reveal we all knew was coming. Even though it was totally expected, I still felt excited.
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide Mitsuo falls for Chinami and makes it painfully clear that he has no romantic feelings for Koko. I never thought he would actually be able to convince her about his true feelings. Banri confesses, and then gets the encouragement he needed to visit home and face his forgotten past. I liked Koko's text near the end. It rings very true. |

so.... is this show supposed to make me sympathize with Koko the way Banri does, or is it trying to make me hate her? because it's doing a good job of the latter, and a very bad job of the former. I'm not really sure Banri is using the correct head to think with.
