Poor Linda, having to keep a straight face when Banri escaped from the hospital to see where the light was coming from he saw outside his hospital window. Didn't like the move Banri pulled when he grabbed Mitsuo and stood him in front of himself to introduce to Linda almost as if he was using Mitsuo as a shield or a symbolic gesture of "Please don't get too close I like someone else." At least, that's what it looked like to me.

Uh oh, friend zone?! Eh I still have hope though because of the OP song.

Anyways, that little trip down memory lane from Banri was kinda cute. Aim for Tokyo baby.

Can't see Banri settling for the friend zone. He wouldn't have confessed that fast if he was willing to settle for friends.

Linda, what are you doing? Why are you pretending not to know him? That would be driving me insane. I'd be one or two stiff drinks away from demanding an explanation.

Yep. Banri was pretty harshly "friend-zoned". However, you'll notice that there is still hope. As she said when they were having coffee:

And that coffee!

Sounds awesome!

But the best part of the episode - The silent conversation when she almost mentioned the fact that she rejected him:

I felt sorry for Linda at first, but now I've become annoyed with her. I can't think of any acceptable reason to pretend not to know Banri unless he was a complete jerk to her before the accident. I really doubt that is what happened. She seemed like she wanted to talk to him about it early in the show, but now she is just acting like they never met before. Given his condition, she is being particularly cold, imo.

Incredible episode. So there are two Tadas. His old identity still exists and basically is haunting him(both literally and figuratively).

Koko friendzoned Tada hard, going so far as to constantly reiterated that Tada is her friend.

That exchange between Koko and Yana, oh lord Koko was trolling Yana hard in that exchange.

Jesus Christ that awkward silence mental exchange between Koko and Tada. XD

Koko's robot-Awa dance had me rolling.

And that ending. Oh man how hard that had to be for Linda. That shows the kind of strength Linda has. Far and away she's become my favorite character in the show.

To be fair Tada himself admitted he intentionally has turned away from anyone who knew him. I think Linda knows about that and is afraid that if she let him know that that he would push her away as well. Keep in mind that she doesn't know Tada now knows that they knew each other. The ball's in Tada's court now as far as I am concerned. Unless he speaks up Linda is NEVER going to mention she knew him before he lost his memories.

So Tada has to man up and say something like, "Linda, you can drop the act now. I know you knew me before my accident. I went home recently and found photos of us together in high school."

Yea, Koda, that's another possibility I was thinking of. I think Linda wanted to say something before and so I'm curious how the reveal will happen. Seems like Banri will have some time to figure out what to do since he has been "friend-zoned" by Koko.

I can see how it is awkward for Linda and I can understand how she would have been hurt by Banri's attitude. That was over a year ago, though. It has occurred to me that she might not want Banri to remember her. Perhaps she would rather have a clean slate for some reason. I hope he works up the courage to confront her about it soon.

The more I think about Kouko constantly throwing the word friend around, the more I think that she is trying to convince herself that's what she feels.

Good point. As she said she is still emotionally confused, so I can see that.

Girls don't have to try that hard to friend-zone a guy. I think she's trying to protect her friendship with him while she works out her feelings for him and her feelings over Mitsuo, after all, someone you've liked to the point of NEVER wanting to be apart isn't someone you get over that quickly, even if a nice guy confesses to you.
