might want to spoiler tag it

No, because I am talking about this:

"Banri Tada is a newly admitted student at a private law school in Tokyo. However, due to an accident, he lost all of his memories. During his freshman orientation, he encounters another freshman from the same school, Mitsuo Yanagisawa, and they hit it off at once. Without any memory of each other, their lives become more and more intertwined as if set by the hands of fate. But what is their fate, and will it lead to happiness or another memory to forget…"

It is on the CR page for Golden Time. In particular, the two bold lines make a misleading statement. I read that and it says he meets Mitsuo and without any memory of each other their lives become more and more intertwined. That suggests that Mitsuo is an old friend from before he lost his memories, which is not the case and is never suggested by the light novels. (Unless it happens sometime well after book 2 and the rest of the characters didn't know about it either, including Mitsuo.)

If you're talking about the "new banri" comment. That is simply a term for the banri that doesn't have his memories from before the accident. That is also stated in the description.

Now for some stuff in spoilers, but not really spoilers. This story has leads that are members of two archetypes that I usually can't stand:

1. The girl that

2. The amnesiac.

The fact that the two characters in question, after reading the first couple of light novels, have become two of my favorite characters of all time means that the writing and trope use must be really good.

ANN Posted their Anime Spotlight on Golden Time Included is an exclusive subtitled version of the PV.

One thing that I hadn't really noticed before is that the person in charge of Series Composition, Fumihiko Shimo has one of the most impressive resumes I have seen. The Spotlight Page lists Infinite Stratos and Clannad, but if you look at the ANN page for Shimo-sensei, you will find a veritable laundry list of very well done adaptations, mostly for Kyoto Animation. Not only all three of the KyoAni Key/Visual Arts adaptations (Clannad and After Story, Kanon, and Air) but also Fate/Stay Night, All three Full Metal Panic! series (including the one for Gonzo), Kokoro Connect, and possibly most impressive, the screenplay for The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumia. This writer knows how to adapt a light novel for anime, that is fur sure!

I must say I'm looking forward to Golden Time as from what I read it's sounds solid, also same creator as Toradora which I really liked as Taiga is epic and the main heroine in Golden Time going by the picture she looks like a older Taiga.

I've read some of the manga and I love Toradora, so I am really looking forward to this. I know that the amnesia angle scares some people, but the manga handled it pretty well. It isn't all in your face all the time.

This series has really caught my attention. The ending of the episode though... I look forward to finding out the story about that

Really nice first episode! Watched it on sort of a whim since CR grabbed it, not disappointed. Look forward to seeing more.

I like the 1st episode a lot. I don't now if it's follow novel more closely, but i like that it's not exactly like manga. This small differences makes watching for these who already read manga a lot more interesting.

I agree that the description is misleading. I hope they will correct it, since if i don't know about Golden Time before, and only read description, I would probably omit the show or put it on waiting list.

It was alright I guess, was expecting a little more though. I liked the theme although Banri's character didn't impress me much.

It is NOT the same as the novel, not at all. I haven't read the manga so I'm not sure which is closer.

It's funny that the OP totally spoils the relationship as well.

I liked what I saw and it's not my usual genre. Will be a nice change of pace after being kicked in the face by Kill la Kill. Personally I would join the Latin dance club, who would want to get away from that?

I had a 'What the heck did I just watch?" moment but in a good way.

I did like the bit with the roses. and the quirky characters look like... fun.
