What are your thoughts on people who blast music from their cars at loud volumes?

This occurs quite often when I'm at school. I've gotten used to it and sometimes I blast my music once in a while.

I blast music when I'm driving at high speeds or at the point where nobody can hear it besides the people whizzing by with their windows open. I always turn it down when I get to a red light or a parking lot because I'm not an asshole that makes everybody's ears hurt.

I remember I used to like it when I saw all these kids who thought they were so badass, driving up into a parking lot with the loudest rap music or something. Only people I have a problem with when it comes to your post is those punks, besides that I'm fine.

I have no issue with people blasting music in their cars while just driving around...until they leave it that way in parking lots/residential areas/gas stations and such even while they aren't in or near their car anymore. I only really go out at night so for the residential area it is just rude to have it so loud when people are definitely trying to sleep and in the other areas it is just that not everyone wants to hear someone else's crap the entire time they are there. It doesn't even have to be music. I get irritated when people have talk radio so loud you can hear it inside the building too. As long as people are courteous enough to mind the other people in those situations it's no problem.

I wonder how the bloody hell they cope with it being that loud. No one needs it that loud do they? If they have the windows up I'm not really bothered, but blasting it out with the windows down and parked annoys me because I don't see why everyone else should have to listen to their music. It's the same thing with builders. Why do they have their radio so loud in the street?

There is a special place in hell for those people. . . The same philosophy goes with people who blast music on the bus.

There was some comedian, can't remember who, who opened his act with a certain gem that's stuck with me since:
"So I was listening to some rap on the way here. Couldn't help it, it was coming from a car half a mile away..."
Pops into my head every single time we roll up to the stop light and I can hear the guy two lanes over.

I blast my music loud when I drive. Not all of the time but most of the time. If you don't like that my windows are down then you can roll yours up but it doesn't matter because you can't hide from my BASS.

I don't do it myself, but I kind of like when someone drives by and I can hear their music. I don't know how their ears can take it, but it's pretty cool in my book. Just don't blast it while I'm in the car, thanks.

I think about the Haggar Pants loud stereo commercial.

I'm cool with it as long as their system is good enough and their car doesn't rattle. If all they've got are a couple of 15 year old Kickers covered in hot glue and a vibrating deck lid then......yeah.
