Fall Anime Season is nearly here so will crunchyroll be streaming alot of the new animes? I've seen other legal streaming sites stream attack on titan like crunchyroll does so will crunchyroll be able to stream alot of anime this season without having to go through any kind of legal battle trying to get streaming rights?

Well, lets look at history going backwards from current to older. It's not completely linear, but there has been a steady increase over time what CR has acquired, taking into account seasonality, availability, and how many actual subscribers CR has paying to get them.

/videos/anime/seasons/summer-2013 37 simulcasts.
/videos/anime/seasons/spring-2013 32 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/winter-2013 40 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/fall-2012 31 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/summer-2012 34 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/spring-2012 29 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/winter-2012 23 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/fall-2011 16 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/summer-2011 23 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/spring-2011 19 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/winter-2011 15 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/fall-2010 11 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/summer-2010 11 simulcasts
/videos/anime/seasons/spring-2010 10 simulcasts
(simulcasts includes prior ongoing series, but not any catalog pickups)

Seems to me that it's a pretty sure thing that there will be lots of shows getting picked up again this next season; I would be very surprised if it was not more than at least 30 (out of about 46 full, plus three shorts). You just have to be patient and watch the site news to see if they get the ones you are anticipating.

They won't get them all, and for some shows, that usually means no one will, and those ones are the true losses. But they will get way more than their next nearest competition. Typically Funi picks up only 4-5 of them, because their operating model is different. It costs a lot to produce dubs and release DVDs, so Funi usually only goes after a few which look like they will be big sellers. CR tries to get as many as possible, and providing subs-only is a much less expensive proposition, which allows them to get many more of them.

Careful what you think are legal streaming sites with Attack on Titan. Many people think any site you find on the internet with ads is legal but that is far from true. I think Crunchyroll and Funimation are the only sites legally streaming Attack on Titan here for example.

Fall season just started and much earlier than usual with Diabolik Lovers. Usually it doesn't start until October so fear not, Crunchyroll will likely have over 30 simulcasts streaming again once October is over.

Not a battle but it is a negotiation for streaming rights every time. The sales and legal departments behind the scenes are always very busy I'm sure.

Yeah, right now it's that weird waiting game as shows slowly finish. Dog & Scissors is over, Silver Spoon presumably finishes season 1 tomorrow, and World God Only Knows on Monday. Going to feel like an age till the new season......

From what I've seen in the past year or so, Crunchyroll usually does not make the announcements more than a week or so before they start streaming the shows. I'm guessing, but this is probably caused by not coming to an agreement until that point, or contractual obligations. And, since most shows for the fall are starting the first week of October or later, this means we will need to wait a week or two for the announcements,

Hulu also streams Attack on Titan, although that is courtesy of Funimation, and on a substantial delay (the latest episode there as of this post is 22).

There are a lot of legal sites but the only ones that tend to fight over licenses seems to be TAN, Funi and CR. Diasuki might enter the mix but it still has the training wheels on its bike. The rest just don't have the budget. CR is established with a large amount of users so it has a bigger budget plus it doesn't have to worry about home video production costs like Funi does. So if you want the most simulcasts CR is probably your site for streaming.

However most people seem to think a lot of illegal sites are legal which I don't really understand how they can make the mistake unless they are stupid. If a site has a DMCA policy it probably is illegal. If it doesn't host its own videos then it is illegal. If it mentions "mirrors, links, etc" it is likely illegal. If their videos mention fansubbers in intro it is likely illegal. If it is horrible/blurry quality it probably is illegal.
