For them to make anime become real. Or at least make holograms like Vocaloid.

Immortality / Transferring brain in to robot so you can live forever and see many scientific breakthroughs, and I would not be surprised if this does happen in our life times since _Google_ already started research on "aging and related diseases", and you know it's Google so they can do whatever the fuck they want.

Sound's like you're a fan of leiji matsumoto or galaxy express. That wouldn't be to bad actually.
Let's see... light speed travel or mecha..

Theirs always the possibility of airtrek's and sex droids as well.. hm..
Then theirs vr and real-life .hack//.
Decisions, decisions...

Mecha based on planes source images muv-luv the visual novel.
No they don't transform like macross... they don't need to. Plus the skies are always surveyed by laser-class.

Everyone's own portable flying machine. It would be amazing to fly individually through the sky!

Virtual reality. Not the superficial virtual reality where you wear glasses to see projections, but actual neurological manipulation which will require neuroscience.

Cheap commercial space flights. Right now the tickets go for $200000 per person, I don't even think I'll ever make that much in my life time...

Make something that could make showering/brushing teeth/eating food & drinking water to gain energy....... Go away, then everyone would be happy, smell good, don't have too starve in Africa etc...

Other more geeky stuff.. hmm..

The option to get some device to put into your brain and this device could tell you everything and anything that we know about.. Science, culture's, history.. etc.. *Of course this thing could be very dangerous if let into the wrong hands lol xD*

Virtual Reality, be able to live in an simulation would be awesome.

A compact non-polluting energy source that can be freely used by all people and nations - such a compact Fusion drive or something of that sort, all this tech is great but with nothing to power it except for solar, wind, and fossil fuels it seems like a short bleak future on earth with a divide of elite haves and the masses of have-nots..

Give us humans the ability to photosynthesize, that way hunger wouldn't be a problem.. But it's amazingly unrealistic..

There a lot for me to think of but right now.

1. Cryogenics.

2. Robotic prosthetic limbs(think FMA).

3. Autopilot flying cars.

4. A scientific way to end world hunger and poverty.

These are the only four I can think of.

I feel like a complete understanding of the brain would pretty much lead to everything I'd really hope for. Extended lifespan, medicine, virtual reality, body-switching, artificial intelligence -- there's just so much we could do if we understood the brain in its entirety.

Either transporter technology or warp drive. That would be my idea of fun.

-Alternative energy (as in widespread discontinuation of fossil fuel use)
-Better rechargeable battery tech (tech has improved but I realized batteries haven't gotten much better)
-Hover technology or flight technology that decreases the need for roads
-Perfectly safe GMOs
