People are so desperate to belong that they are still clinging to race, gender, economical class, nobility, nationality, culture, religion, sports teams, and idols, as if any of it matters. And part from that, the dumbest force on this planet is righteousness. So, it hasn't changed much, if at all.

Thanks.

I laugh when I see an atheist and a religious person turn a simple debate into an all out brawl, in my honest opinion.

I'm neither atheist nor religious too.
I can care less about things like that.

well, like some really really smart people said before (John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton (1834–1902))
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

I believe there is a God. I am not religious. Nor do I have faith in God. I can only have faith in myself because I am the only one I can trust and rely on.

I claim that one day I will be a god (when I'm dead) and make a fair and just world - without pain and suffering. The only pain and suffering one will endure are the obstacles life throws at you, but with a clear understanding of it and a path to get out.

That isn't much different then from what God does now, but he only talks to few and blesses few.

In my world all will be blessed and all will to talked to.

(second digressed comment)

Let me digress here and talk about what has changed.

EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED! From technology to the way of thinking. People used to be killed for a different opinion. Granted that still happens today in some parts of the world, like North Korea.

The past 300 hundred years have been the greatest years in human history, and it's only in the 40 years that we have been able to expand. I.E. the Internet, cars (well, technically over 100 years, but greatest advancement has only been within the past 15 - 20).

We have to understand history to understand today.

Civilizations that have been existed for more than 1000 years are fucking up. Then, they rely on the US for a helping hand when US itself only existed for hundreds of years. It supposed to be older brother helping the younger brother, but it's all the way around in this lifetime.
