Don't think it's changed much, there's still so much discrimination against everything.

>It's no longer socially acceptable to marry more than one person or have concubines or use women as money/trade goods
>Death has been censored to the point where lewdness is more appropriate than a gory snapshot of a real corpse that has been mangled in an accident
>People have become very sheltered
>People now live longer and have health problems that were never big in the ancient world
>People are more educated but now seem to lack more common sense

If you're talking about traveling 1000 years into the future, then....

>Human consciousness can be uploaded and even replicated by transferring the mind into a sophisticated computer
>People no longer need to do physical labor
>People have replaced their bodies with machines...the body might die but the replicated consciousness lives on in cyberspace
>Cloning and tampering with genes is perfectly acceptable
>Most of the planet's animals have been wiped out, and most of the remaining ones have been domesticated
>Conflict and war are all virtual and fought with viruses

Well, I can almost say for certain, if we nearly stopped discrimination against blacks a hundred years ago, in a thousand homosexuals won't be discriminated against either. So.. equality.

Technology has advanced to the point where humans are not seen in the streets anymore - I heard they still exist somewhere in basements (a traditional habitat).

Humans still hate each other, are still racist, and still kill people and start wars. But they're under the impression they've advanced. They haven't really.

Space is still the new frontier, and now everyone is excited about colonizing planets and moons. Pretty soon people will be stealing land form aliens and fighting with them. This is normal for war-hungry humans.

Society has become far more shallow than ever before, and concerned more than ever about how they look. This has existed since the dawn of time, but now whole communities are obsessed with how they look, and now they have the plastic surgery to change their features. Humans many times pass this off as "normal" and a means of attaining "self esteem".

Bulling has gone to a whole new level than ever before, and aided by technology, has gone to extreme extremes. This is nothing really new however, as the human race has always loved to make others of their own kind feel bad about themselves to make their own selves feel better.

The human race on a whole has made great advancements - but it has also taken many steps backwards. The new global generation is many times proof of that unfortunately. For every step humanity takes forward, they take several steps back.

I think people will be the same in a thousand years, but probably a bit worse. Technology will obviously advance and I can imagine how the environment will look, but people will still take a while advancing when it comes to letting go what is holding them back from growing.
