Alright, now that this is part of the inaugural batch of titles here on CR's new manga service, I'm hoping this thread gets a lot more traffic. (Of course, it would help if Crunchy's searching worked--I searched three times on "wagatsuma-san" and this thread never came up so I was just about to start my own when I happened to stumble onto this. It might also help if this thread's title was in English since that's how it's listed in the manga section. Gripe, gripe.)

Anyway, I just "marathoned" the chapters here that go way past the currently available scanlations. Doesn't anyone want to armchair quarterback Aoshima's Christmas moment with Itou? I'm dying to hear the consensus here. Is he a principled and disciplined romantic for holding out for what he (thinks he) really wants? Or is he just an idiot?

Cool that u marathoned this! I'm actually quite interested in reading this series myself now that CR has it, but was just wondering on the ecchi level of this. Like is there an emphasis or frequent shots of panties, breasts, etc..? I don't mind if it's just sprinkled throughout, but if it's frequent, I think I'm gonna have to pass.

Edit:

v @ twintiger: Ok, thx! Just what I wanted to hear!

Actually there are no ecchi stuffs. It has a lot of parodies of manga, anime, and Japanese celebrities.

No worries, the humor is PG-13 at worst, and there are definitely no pictures that you wouldn't want to be seen looking at it public. There are the usual pervy nerd high school boys who talk about it all the time, but that's as far as they get Definitely check out the first few chapters and you'll see.

I'm really liking this manga. I think I'm on chapter 17 right now. I wish I could marathon them, but only have about an hour to read them before work. Now I just wish I could get a physical copy of it, and maybe an anime version of it, if done right.

This really is a great manga. It's worth the time and it's freaking hilarious. I like the art as well.

Read the current chapters last week and this is already one of my favourite mangas atm.

Too bad that CR manga isn't either avaivable in Europe or it's only for premium members.

Obvious solution: He uses his time slip skills to figure out how to get her hooked up with someone.

also... anyone else wonder the guy does for a job?! Maybe he's a stock broker or something and works from home ><

or he helps run a masked wrestlers marketing

Once in a while he gets some brains and asks questions like when he first asked her out, but he isn't smart enough for him to ask the most obvious of questions

I sometimes wonder what it must be like for her in the future when he "time slips." One minute he's probably acting age-appropriate, and the next he reverts to a high schooler behaving like he's never been with a woman before and asking idiotic questions about things that happened ten years earlier.

The burning question for me is whether he should believe that he must only ever be with Ai. Is there really no possibility for him to date one of the other girls, and still wind up with AI in his future? It's incredibly frustrating to watch him pursue her at all cost, when it's painfully obvious to the rest of us that these other girls would make better girlfriends right now. He has nothing in common with Wagatsuma, and no real relationship with her. As others have noted, if he hadn't "time-slipped" and saw he was married to her, would he even bother? And why does he anyway, other than she's "the hottest girl in class?" Meanwhile the other two girls are perfectly good-looking, AND he has actual relationships with them based on real-life events in the present--events that happened naturally, rather than ones he engineered just to self-fulfill his prophecy.

Oh, that's a bind, since the scanlators for this title said they're dropping it once they finish their current scripts, because it's now available licensed.

I guess the rest of the world will have to wait for it to be picked up by a new scanlation group I predict will soon appear, called "HorribleScans."

Damn this means I am going to have to upgrade to all-access since I have the anime only premium membership.

I enjoyed the first two chapters. I'm glad that there is plenty more to catch up on.
