What websites would you travel to? What would be your mode of transportation?

Get creative with this thread.

Bonus Question: Which websites would you not want to travel and why?

It's hard to describe the internet as a place. But oh god if you could visit 4chan like a place and real life. Oh boy that would be...unpleasant.

Same goes for Omegle. And myspace will be like the desert of the world. While websites like youtube would have places like the weird side of youtube district and crap. Oh boy I would want to visit that place just see how emotionally sane I'll be when I get out

I'd describe the internet as like a giant flee market. Sure you have about 20% of it that actually has good bargains, rare stuff, and some interesting people; but that remaining 80% ...... maintain a distance of 100ft.

I don't really get this but I will try anyway!

I'd visit fanfiction because I imagine it to be some sort of bookstore, or library. It just seems calming, and a good place to get inspiration too since there are many good writings there and I can learn from there.

I wouldn't visit facebook, that site is *shudders*
Lots of stalkers, weirdoes who keep sending out annoying game invitations and pokes. That's all I can think of.

That is my second choice actually, haha
I don't really read the comments or anything, just there to watch the vids
But I notice that site is as nasty
People will come to you and hate on you for no reasons

You'll never survive in that fierce jungle. People there will eat you alive then shit you out. I wouldn't go there either.

It would look exactly like the homes of two billion apes bent over keyboards, alternately masturbating, crying, laughing, or on the rare occasion actually getting some work done.

I think OP is looking for an all encompassing "physical" description of what we know as the Internet, but not a technical description such as a bunch of computers connected to servers that are connected to larger servers, that generate web pages, chat rooms, forums, Facebook, etc.

I think what OP is looking for a fantasy visualization of "the Internet" if it were a real place that you could drive or walk to. For example:

Let's say the Internet is one continuous strip mall that circles the Earth. You can enter the Internet strip mall in Maine, for example, and walk non-stop for days to Poland or China or Utah if you want to. It's kind of like Ringworld (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ringworld), but with a lot of meaningless distractions, old people complaining about Socialism, cats, and porn.

Something like that...

Thanks. So I think I understand now. So if Youtube, for instance, was a store, or a bar perhaps, what would the store or bar be like. Am I on the right page? I think I'm on the right page.
