If you guys are really craving some spice and wolf pick up the light novels.

They are real easy to read and really cheap on amazon.

If you have seen both season 1 and 2 you can pick up on Volume 6 of the light novels.

I would really like to see the next story arc animated but the light novels do help

Pretty much. While I'd love to see it, if they were going to release a season 3 they'd have done it a long time ago.

I started in January buying one Spice and Wolf LN per month and now I'm caught up buying what Yenpress has released. (Vol 11 comes out April 2014.) So cheap on Amazon, I almost feel guilty. But Yen gets the same amount no matter whether it's discounted or not.

More anime of the series would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.

This was in fact the first anime I EVER saw that I REALLY enjoyed xD I was really hoping for a 3rd season but there was not enough support behind it. However I did read the books xD I'm not going to say anything but I loved the ending

After reading the novels I would be most excited just to see how the work is animated and how situations play out with voice acting and such.

Probably true, but they did end the Novel series with 17...

And only 2 tv seasons...

Starting companies that do similar things to anime will sometimes pick up stuff like this, just to test their current Level as a company. Highly

unlikely ,but It's happened 6 times in the last year and they usually go for high demanding shows that Ran out of Money, Ended but has a

novel/book series behind it, and will buy the rights if they can...

This happened with The novel/ Movie series ( I Know What You Did Last Summer) #They all sucked

Probably not because this show is a recent show like within the last decade Japanese show... Harder to get the rights

Amazing anime. I love it to death.

But I'm a pessimist, and a cynic, so if what people say about the past sales is accurate then I certainly don't expect anything animated coming out for this series.

At least the novels are being translated. I'm considering buying them...does the English translation in the novels have the same quality as the show? Because the dialogue was the thing that really made the show so engrossing and entertaining.

With anime being essentially a marketing vehicle and not a public service, or "art for the sake of art," (as much as we might wish it otherwise), and the original light novel series beign long finished in Japan, the target audience, one can safely bet a 3rd anime season is likely not coming. I did see the picture hpulley showed a while back (and now regret not buying the art book when I saw it-- can't find it anywhere now), and pretty much committed at that time to actually reading the light novel series (in English-- I can barely handle the simpler manga in Japanese, and so actual novels are out of the question). Hopefully, the English translations will sell enough that all 17 volumes get successfully released over here (U.S.). I need to see that ending!

How about making a OVA to finish the story? that would rock!

There are 9 novels worth of material (that's excluding the side colors books) from where season 2 stopped, so unless they did a shoddy job there is no way they would be able to finish the series in a few OVA's. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see more Spice and Wolf anime, but as it has been stated before, now that the entire series is over it's very unlikely that we will see any more Spice and Wolf anime. If you want they have the first 9 novels translated via Yen Press, and book 10 comes out in about a week and they only run an average of $10 a book.
