Once ate double big Mac combos straight for a month and gained 40 pounds.
Not a pleasant sight.

I understand and agree with the whole lethargic feeling. Comes with most fast food.

Personally, the Spicy McChicken sandwich makes my mouth/lips sensitive. If I purse, bite, lick or use my lips even a little they will start to swell up. And I'm not allergic to anything....yet. I've actually had it on multiple occasions so I'm fairly sure there's something up with that sandwich.

It sounds like you're just extremely sensitive and can't stand anything remotely hot. Do you even eat spicy food on a regular basis? I can eat whole raw Habanero peppers without the slightest reaction. I've even ate Ghost Peppers (Bhut Jolokia) on multiple occasions with no problem. They don't even make my eyes water or my nose run. However, they do make my stomach feel sensitive until I dilute it with liquid though. You could just be the type that's super sensitive to extremely mild things like pepper and freaks out because of it.

It's either that or you're allergic and don't know it yet.

All the time. That's why I always choose McDonald's over Burger King.

Ha. I wish that was the case. I'm Guyanese(Mixed Indian) so I grew up on Wiri Wiri, habanero and bird peppers. Never had jolokia peppers as far as I know and I'm OK with that. Anyway, point is I have tolerance to spicy food even if I'm low-balling. So unless I'm crying my eyes out at the heat there usually isn't any other reaction. And that sandwich doesn't even come close.

So I'm pretty certain it's some kind of chemical although hell-if-I-know. It's why it's so peculiar and head-scratching.

Yeah, it sounds like you might be allergic to something included in the Spicy McChicken. Are you fine after eating the normal McChicken? Might be some strange preservative or something like that. I'm actually allergic to a couple odd things like blue dye and bleach. You never really know if you're allergic to something until you have a reaction!

Never got food poisoning or anything but I have had a meal or two that did not taste well.

Though when they went to all white meat nuggets it has not been nearly as bad.

I normally get the Grilled Chicken Classic Sandwich when I eat Mcdonalds. It's relatively high in sodium but only 350 calories and high in protein/carbs. Just get it without mayo or remove it yourself if you want to lower the fat content. Anyway, it's a pretty good choice if you're gonna be eating at Mcdonalds.

I actually eat my chicken sandwiches plain or with ketch-up/hot sauce.

I find it makes me gain weight, so though I love junk food, I eat it rarely.

Ugh...
