I would personally love to be a mother. I have nineteen nieces and nephews and I would rather like to stop looking after all of my siblings children and have one of my own. Of course... that requires help from a male which is lacking.

My aunt just had her baby boy today, my grandma told me she was screaming the whole time.
Having kids sounds kinda scary
But if i do have kids I think I'll have 1 or 2

Of course it's selfish either way. You're thinking for a being that is not yet real. It doesn't matter if you want one or not, YOU are the one making the choice and, therefore, YOU are the one weighing the pros and cons from your own POV according to your desires. Of course you're selfish...........so?

You must think for yourself. Selfishness isn't necessarily wrong. Sort of like racism and killing. The terms have just become so attached to obviously-immoral acts they people don't think about the instances in which they are okay.

It's fine when people like kids, but they should probably be aware there are people who don't. Like me.

It bothers me when people post pics of their new baby, fresh from the womb, on Facebook. Or every single post they make is about their kid and every picture they post is a picture of their kid. All traces of who they were before they had the kid seem to evaporate. It even becomes slightly annoying.

Wait! Are you referring to me or people in general?

I'm referring to everyone who thinks about having kids or not having kids. And it's not really a bad thing. The last paragraph is for people who post nothing but kid pictures and make kid statuses.

Okay. I was a little worried for a moment there.
Half the things people do on Facebook are annoying/stupid. I'm glad I stop going there because I refuse to deal with it.
The thing with the kids.................................................................................NOBODY REALLY CARES!!!!

Generally speaking, I think a couple should raise at least one child. But there will always be reasonable exceptions. It just seems to me that marriage should result in some sort of family normally.

I simply think it's up to the person and whatever they decide to do is perfectly fine and is their choice, not anyone else's. It's their business and their choice that they feel is the best option for their lifestyle and shouldn't be judged for it.

As for the bonus questions:

1) I think it's because knowing that the baby your adopting isn't yours hurts your heart. This is kind of a sensitive question so I'll leave it at that ^^"

2) Honestly, I don't know if I want one or not. I'm pretty much indifferent at the moment. Then again, I'm only 19 years old so I shouldn't have to think about that for a long time lol

3) I'm not a parent........so yea lol X3 Still technically a kid!!!!!!

My answers to all this don't really matter anyways in my case since no one will ever want to marry me, let alone even date me, so why even bother thinking about it? It's not that I don't want to get married, in fact, I want to have the opportunity to be loved for who I am just like everyone else. However, reality says otherwise, so for me I won't be given that option of if I want to be a parent or have children ^^"

Too bad we don't have enough people willing to mind their own business in this world.

It's completely the individuals choice. I know many people, some of which want children and the others do not. It's a pretty common feeling to want to be successful and enjoy life without children before ever wanting to have a child.

1. Why does it seem easier to get an abortion rather than adopt?
(somewhat of a tricky question)

This is actually really easy to answer:

Abortion is a somewhat humane way to stop a child from being born; keeping someone's life from being put on hold - I don't agree with abortions, but this is a way many people view abortions. It is accepted among people.

Where as with adoption; the child being adopted's life could be ruined if given to the wrong people. So much time and consideration is put into adoption, the world is not a pretty place and not just anyone should be given the chance to have a child.

2. Do you want a child in the near future? Explain whether yes or no.

Yes; 3-4 children preferably, but not until I am 28 at the minimum. I have too many goals I wish to fulfil before settling down.

I only see a true need for an abortion if the female was raped and wasn't ready to care for a child.
Not too many women that aren't ready at the moment to be a mother would want to take care of child born from rape.
If there are women who WOULD such a thing then it won't be so easy for them as the child gets older.

I agree completely; I also think it's the women's choice if she wants an abortion even if she was not impregnated from rape - I would not agree with her choice, but it is HER choice and no one has the right to go against that choice.

I believe if you are pregnant and even considering abortion you should just have the child and give it up for adoption; you got yourself pregnant - you should not kill an unborn life before it even has a chance to live (with the exception of rape).
