Pads, ibuprofen, and iron supplements xD In that order, usually.
My mom would never buy tampons due to health problems like shock they can cause.
Luckily all I get's bleeding 'n' cramps instead of 'moods' or chocolate cravings (I'm apathetic anywho) so I don't have to spend a week a month being miserable.

That's honestly a very rare occurrence, especially given the amount of women there are in the world and the amount of those whom use tampons. In those cases though of women who are menstruating, it's the misuse of tampons that can increase the chances for this to occur.

There isn't evidence that there is a direct correlation between the use of tampons and Toxic Shock Syndrome, keep in mind TSS is due to a bacterium that produces toxins. TSS occurs when the individuals' body doesn't produce antibodies in reaction to the toxin-producing bacterium.

Children and men can also get TSS. The reason there has been a large hype in the past around the use of tampons and the risk of TSS is because it was initially believed that there was a definite correlation - but, again, the past decade has showed a lack of evidence for that conclusion to be supported. There is a higher risk of getting TSS as a woman who menstruates if you use tampons simply because the tampon can provide the bacterium a site to cultivate.

On a side note, I use pads. It's a lot easier to just stick on a pad and chuck it out when you're done and to me feels a lot quicker than the use of a tampon but that may simply be because I don't want to be sticking anything up there when my PMS already makes me as grumpy and impatient as ever.

True. You just need to know what you're doing.
Pads are good. Pads make you feel like you're wearing a diaper.
I enjoy pads and tampons both.

Well for an healthy Asian male like me, I prefer all 3 just to be extra safe and fail-proof. Although sometimes that isn't enough as my period intensifies and just absolutely decimates the tampon and pad

The power of the IUS coil! It's very rare I need any anymore, but I usually carry pads just in case.

It's a type of contraception, really. But it stops periods as well for ~5 years, which is the main reason I chose it.

I had it at 17, and don't plan on having a baby before I'm 22, so it's all good
