Ok, guys and gals, I need to know the answer to the above question. I realize later on it probably will be .My neice is almost 5 ( will be 5 in November ) and has always been extremely intelligent. She knows the difference between real life and cartoons as I have kept reminding her that this is made-up stuff. Pretty sure this doesn't make me a bad uncle, but there is only so much Sky Dancers, My Little Pony, and Power Rangers that a person can take before you go nuts. ( Although, I'm already nuts)

If there are too many yes's to this question, I need suggestions for anime to watch here on crunchyroll or on other websites.

Thank you very much in advance.

P.S I have to explain some things with One Piece to her bc she keeps asking why. Oh, would Fairy Tail be too much you think? That's a little milder.

pretty sure a 4 year old isn't capable of comprehending what is going on.

I'd say yes and no. It basically depends on the episode or arc. There are many scenes in One Piece where I consider them too violent for a 5 year old.
If you want some popular Shonen anime that are censored and they are targeted towards the young demographic I'd say Fairy Tail or Toriko. Even though Toriko is very violent in the manga, the anime is not too violent as they remove the blood and they edit the brutal scenes.
These two series are available on Funimation's website though.

might be too early for her to be watching One Piece, but then again my nephew watches One Piece with me and he's 2 though I don't think he understands what going on. Fairy Tail is a bit more tame in terms of blood and violence but there is the fan service to consider.

I think so, from only 100ish episodes I watch xD

How about Avatar The Last Airbender? I don't know if its considered anime or cartoon but I think it'll be better for children (I have finished the series for so many times haha I'm still not tired of it)

Take into consideration all the comments said above, they're all have said it right.
To be honest if your almost-5-year-old niece is mature enough to know what's a cartoon & if she can understand the dialogue (which I'm sure she may not), I honestly see no problem in her watching it. Yes, it does have a lot of blood and fan-service, but I think she should be fine but it depends on you, haha.

If not, consider other animes said above like Fairy Tail or Avatar The Last Airbender (this is an exceptional series).

Gonna agree with Globensuff, the 4kids version should be great, as there is little to no blood, swearing, and for some reason those antichrists turned wine into water.

Most stuff on CR is subbed; can she read subs? If so, I'd give her something more like Tegami Bachi.

It is a little violent even in the beginning but it's not enough to traumatize kids. Even in the manga Oda worries about that and stays away from violence, gore and even death of characters. Don't deprive your niece of the most amazing adventure/comedy anime ever!
