So my brother, my friend, and myself all have relatively equivalently spec'd computers, we are able to play all current games at 1080p high settings above 50fps, but Only my brother and I feel as if the consoles still provide a better gaming experience. My friend on the other hand has given into the "master race" of PC.

I'm just not getting those feels, as obvious as it is that the games look better on PC, I don't feel comfortable gaming through a PC. I'd rather be using a console oto game, maybe because I'm so used to it, but that doesn't explain why my friend gave in.

Even if it is the master race, i still want to play on my ps3 :/

Anybody else get these feelz?

I don't believe consoles are better than PCs or vice versa. I feel a heck of a lot more comfortable using a controller rather than kb/mouse, probably because I played my PSX well into 2004, and didn't take to PC gaming until around 5 years ago.

On PC I can use whatever control method I like for the most part. (sometimes requiring a bit of troubleshooting)
For PC gaming I think the advantage is the graphics, the mods, and the versatility. For single player games and multiplayer games with most calculations and combat being server sided (mostly MMOs) I choose PC.

For other multiplayer games I prefer consoles due to the higher barrier of entry for hacking than PC thus meaning a lesser amount of 'script kiddies' ruining the competitiveness. I also like the fact that the hardware is standardized and I for the most part know anyone I'm playing against has no mechanical or software advantages.

They both have their advantages and disadvantages so I choose to go with both while playing games that play to the strengths of each platform.

About February this year I got my 1st PC that could run anything and everything! Before that I had always used consoles. The N64 then the PS1 then the PS2 then the Xbox 360. I would consider myself a "hard-core" gamer, though I don't like the term. Now that I've been gaming on my PC for a good few months I must say, PC is the way to go. I believe the only argument people can have against PC is that they don't like the mouse/keyboard combo. Which is not a strong case considering that most PC games come with controller support. Though I wouldn't say i have a "PC master race" feel, as i have a deep seeded love of consoles having pretty much been raised by them haha

PS3 and XBOX 360 are essentially a weak version of a computer that was designed to only play certain types of discs.

Don't know about 'master race'
but most of the games I consider playing are on the pc. I can find more PC games than I have TIME to play. and frankly between netflix and crunchyroll. and such games. not only do I not need a console. I don't need a tv or cable hook up.

But that's ME. your mileage may vary.

I have liked consoles better for most of my life just because I thought they were cool. But now Steam has kinda gotten me wrapped in it's ways. Right now my favorite console company is Nintendo and I love Steam.

my pc graphics is definitely better than my ps3.

i've played guild wars 2 on ultra setting and it looked so deliciously good. my frame rate went to about 20fps where there were like 200 people on my screen -_-;

Okay, I laughed pretty damn hard at that.

I got a gaming PC over the summer and I have to say that I definitely feel like... The only major differences are a larger catalog, better graphics/framerate and games I otherwise wouldn't get due to insane publishing costs on the console.

A PC is a bit more open than a console and some games call for a keyboard over a controller at times... Like Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Other than that, the only thing I hate is the inability to play with console people. Oh and the simplicity of connectivity with console games with some PC games requiring me to make my own servers, set everything up myself and have me be entirely responsible if it doesn't work right versus it being the console/publisher's fault.

Oh and PC multitasking/multi use is nice too.

"I don't feel comfortable gaming through a PC."

Why don't you just use a controller? Wireless Gaming Receivers do the trick.

You can also add mods to games on the computer, giving them new life, more playtime.

also I got no master race feelz, never been much of an elitist in anything, especially when it comes to technology.

Even if you own the console the PC version, if it's not a cheap port, will almost always be the better version. Get a nice monitor and gamepad and you're set. Yes. there's something to be said for playing games on your couch, so use that time to play the console exclusives like GTA5. Also, a good PC is expensive, so you know... do what you want... I like PC games better...

I'm more of a console person myself. I don't have a very good computer for playing games, nor do I have the money to buy a quality one at this time. I know consoles are expensive too, but i've had my 360 for like 7 years now and it's still serving me well, compared with my friend who games on the PC and is updating like every other year and shelling out cash to stay up to date.

Plus my vision is rather poor, so I can't really play games effectively if it's not on a rather large television screen - and setting up the PC to play on the TV properly is just a big ol' hassle, and even when it works it still looks and feels rather forced and contrived.

Plus my internet connection (or perhaps it's just my computer) always seems to run them with a considerable amount of lag unless the graphics are on dirt poor quality, whereas consoles have always served me fairly reliably.

That's just me, though. If I had a quality PC and internet connection, I think i'd probably switch sorely to PC.

Comparing a PC to a console is like comparing a human to a goldfish.

Not that I have anything against people who use consoles. After all, we need them for entertainment purposes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXGF-sNhlwA
