I snicker whenever I think of someone playing Fallout 3/NV, The elder scrolls series, or so many other series on a console. Mods can add well over a thousand hours to many games that would otherwise hold me for thirty or so hours. Hard to beat adding dozens to hundreds or even thousands of hours to a game isn't it?

The only thing I even use my ps3 for is multi-player in shooters, to avoid hackers but even then BFBC2 (About the only shooter I've played on PC since Halo 2.) and other games have done well with keeping out hackers on PC with things like steam and such.

There is no master race...

There is not problem of plugging modern PC to you TV, turn on big picture on steam, add some good pad and it's exactly the console like XboX or PS3.

Now do it in other direction.

The only benefit of console are exclusives and the unified architecture. Running proper emulator on high-end PC will give you the same or better quality like running it on original console. The fact that in E3 or similar, the console game run on PC machines not on consoles. But Console brings more money to console maker, they can be sold cheaper because unlike PC they bring money with every game you buy.

I suppose one thing is, if my friends have a console, I KNOW they are able to play the same games i play on it without any issues. On PC I have friends who get the game and then turn around and say, "I can't run it, my computer is too slow." They have no intension of dropping 600$ on a computer (if they even consider plan on building it) to play the game.

only a percent of my friends from League of Legends were able to jump over to FFXIV because they had the hardware for it.

I feel more comfortable on consoles, and I'm not a big fan of Steam, it just wants to eat my money.

Now i jumped into pc Battlefield 3 and started off doing almost as well as i did on console, within a week i was performing on the same level. So, i don't see any special benefit to keyboard and mouse over controllers. The only benefit i see on PC is the graphics, that's it, not my biggest concern.

They each have their upsides and downsides. I usually play on PC more but I hate the 'master race elitism' crap that twats with no knowledge on how life works frequently spew. It's the same with console fanboys, too. Everyone has to have the better system when there isn't one, it's all personal preference. But honestly, the gaming community today makes me feel sick to be considered a gamer. It's filled with nagging 9 year old brats who curse and spread racist remarks every third word because you're better than them. Yeah, PC gamers get your heads out of your arses, there are many kids online on PC, it's not all adults. And console gamers, your PS4 isn't better than the Xbox One, nor is the Xbox One better than the PS4. There's this word called an 'opinion'. We all have one, and no-one's is worth more than someone else's. So remember the next time you make a fool of yourself going off on some petty rant, everything you're saying, without justification, is just laughable.

I'm a gamer, have been my whole life from a very early age. I was even #1 in the world ranking tournament on Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge for about 3 months.

Anyway point is, true gamers don't really care about the platform that the games are played on. It's obvious that the PC is superior in every way, but it also costs a great deal more money than consoles do, it's more prone to crashing, bad patching, server issues, etc., and not every game is best suited for PC gaming (fighting games and J-RPG's to name a couple).

I've owned every single console for every generation plus handhelds for the past 20 years and always had a PC capable of playing current games. I've pre-ordered a PS4 also, but not the Xbox One yet, this console worries me a little, but I will probably end up buying one anyway a short while after release.

People who argue that what they have is superior than everybody elses without really considering the pro's, con's, and exclusive titles aren't really worth your time. There's too much bias in the world and people will defend whichever console/PC their parents buy for them.

Just think of gaming platforms as religions. You hate every one that isn't your own.

No only ignorant assholes will think they are better than other people for something as trivial as owning a superior piece of technology, but if you can buy a gaming PC then I do strongly recommend it, just don't become a snooty cunt about it.

I prefer to play on PC because I can't stand frame drops and texture pop ins after playing on a good PC for so long(playing GTA 5 was a bit of a pain). If I'm playing a platformer or adventure game on PC I use an Xbox controller, so I guess I like both? I just prefer being able to play using high end graphics.

This said, I love 3DS, and I would like a Wii U.

Calling PCs the master race is completely retarded. People call it the master race because they like to master...bate over the graphics. I know that was terrible but true. Graphics don't make the game and the age of revolutionary graphic jumps is over. So, can we get back to good game play mechanics and epicly unique stories?

I want to do this so badly. To plug my PC into my TV in the apartment for Steam Big Picture and such, but sadly my TV is in a whole other room...

It's a matter of preference, my laptop can do anything my ps3 can do plus more, so i just game on my laptop, it looks better and it runs smoother for me.
I play exclusive games on my ps3 (The Last of Us, Metal Gear, Disgaea)
And everything else I use my laptop for

I am currently building a brand new computer with a budget of $2000.00 USD. And I still feel consoles are better gaming. And that's because the consoles were made for gaming. Computers are made for everything.

PC is the ultimate... Like ps3, xbox etc. because of the controller? Well then buy a controller for PC, problem solved, hdmi from your pc to tv, if you like the *big screen* :P!

Well I have ps3, the only reason I play PS3, is because I don't have the best PC and there are some games that are only for ps3.. same goes for xbpx, but I don't have one of those z.z

I can't do PC, tried to play an easy game like Minecraft and I can't do it. I probably need to just practice more or something, but I'd rather stick to consoles.

I'm really good at the fast twitch games like Call of Duty on console, but I'd probably get ravaged if I tried to play a PC port of it.
