I'm just not getting those feels, as obvious as it is that the games look better on PC, I don't feel comfortable gaming through a PC. I'd rather be using a console oto game, maybe because I'm so used to it, but that doesn't explain why my friend gave in.

Even if it is the master race, i still want to play on my ps3 :/

Anybody else get these feelz?

you're a retard by definition - as consoles are lag-filled useless piles of junk ... play me on any game you console and i'll take pc ... any time any game and we'll see why pc rules console lag-tards

I don't believe consoles are better than PCs or vice versa. I feel a heck of a lot more comfortable using a controller rather than kb/mouse, probably because I played my PSX well into 2004, and didn't take to PC gaming until around 5 years ago.

you want to play with me console vs pc ? any game you want .... i have a 13ms response you'll be lucky to have a 20ms human responce + a console lag then a tv deconde of 70+ms you laggy retard ( and i say retard by definition of slow as consoles are slow by definition making all console users = retards )

so bring it on .. any game .. any time .. console user

It is inevitable.. Just accept it when the time comes, it'll be less painful.

I'm going to be dismissed as a jerk or a 'Grammar/Spelling Nazi', but well that's your choice. The fact of the matter is that Language is the decoder ring for our thoughts and feelings. I encode my internal reality into cipher that someone who speaks the same language can decode into something that makes sense for their internal reality. It only works when we use the same decoder rings! Arbitrarily changing sections of it reduces clarity and eventually leads to incomprehension.

Which is all a big lead up to me asking what you mean by 'Feelz'. From the context, I think you Mean Feelings but there also seems to be an element of 'values' and 'thoughts' hidden in your... paragraph. Let's see if I understand your question correctly.

There is a sample of three people including yourself. All of whom have computers which should perform as well or better as any current console. Of this sample two still prefer to use consoles. While the third not only prefers to use a computer but looks down on the other two because he places an inordinate value on his choice. And you are wondering why you prefer the console when this other person similar to you prefers the computer and thinks it's 'the master race'. You ask: do others have feelings similar to your own?

Did I get it right or did I miss something? More to follow once I know we are on the same page.

That's my thoughts on the PC Master Race. I am one of those guys who can look past graphics, and I don't care about discounts, so a PC serves me no convenience over a console.

The short experience I had with PC gaming was exhilarating, but it was a pain in the ass to set shit up, and I have better things to devote my hard drive and resources to.

Have you ever figured out that a PC has a HDMI stick, you could connect it into a TV and buy a controller for your pc, problem solved you, could sit on your couch playing, you would have better quality, "almost the same amount of games, of course. some games that aren't made to PC because of licenses etc." It would be better in almost every way <.<

I don't mean to smack talk those who love consoles over PC, I totally understand, consoles are there so that you don't have to worry about always upgrading your hardware and being waaaaay too expensive, but if you have the money, the option to buy a great PC, you should, because it makes gaming much better.

You might say that controllers aren't supported by all games on PC, I think you should try to learn it, there are way more option available too you hen like strategy games *Starcraft* you could never play that on a console, even if you could, you wouldn't even be able to beat an easy computer, because of all the mechanics of that game.

Even if you like consoles because of you don't have to worry about quality, I mean you could still do the same thing with pc, turn down the quality and connect it to a Tv. There are many different ways to game on a PC, so I wouldn't just say that it's a piece of crap only because PC *CAN* have better quality, or the keyboard/mouse are the things that wear it down.

Exactly. You seem to understand what I meant perfectly, my apologies for not proofreading my question for those who find internetspeak atrocious.

Thinking about this more and more, I think I have come to a conclusion. My brother and I both have very tidy personalities. We like everything we have in both the digital and physical world to be organized. The consoles are their own environment seperate from the PC. They have no connection what-so-ever. The fact that they are seperated from the computer which also contains variuous other mutimedia, gives ourselves a perception of cleanliness. I prefer to keep typing intensive tasks and researching to the computer. For example watching crunchyroll and netflix are best accomplished on my ps3/phone/tablet, while using the Crunchyroll forums is best accomplished by my computer.

I'm sure my thought process has an excessive amount of holes in it.

Well then...

First off. You don't have to justify yourself to anybody. It doesn't matter if there's holes in your logic. The people who claim to be part of the master race, or threaten to shoot and castrate you or attempt to label you as developmentally challenged because you don't game the way they do, are frankly acting one and and all, like a bunch of MORONIC JERKS who aren't worth your time and attention. Let alone any amount of angst. It doesn't matter weather they are adherents of the cult of PC, Xbox, Apple, or Playstation, IF they couch it in terms of contempt because THEIR value system disagrees with yours then they are behaving like narrow minded idiots. You may now laugh at their juvenile antics. Pure comedy gold. As soon as words ending in '-tard' or ones like 'Failstation' or 'Xbone' come up you can recognize that they've run out of facts and/or logic. As soon as the name calling starts, the person laying about with the insults has effectively already admitted they have nothing left. They might as well run up a white flag and be done with it.

That said, everyone had their own reasons why they prefer a particular way of gaming.

Myself, My computer desk in my bedroom is my sanctum sanctorum where I don't have to put on make up or wear prosthetic teats to be... me. My computer is one stop shopping replacing a console, a tv, even a radio or boom box. It's my work station for writing, research and some light reading. It entertains me in all sorts of ways. With my large screen hi-res monitor a pair of steelseries(tm) headphones and fan to keep me, cool MY computer replaces 99% of home electronics for me. YOUR Mileage May Vary.

My console such as it is, is a PS 2. I bought it new from the retailer for $80 during the Christmas that the PS 3 was all the rage. Likewise the suite of games at my disposal were almost universally bought from the bargain bin. With an A/C outlet and tv with RCA jacks, I have a transportable diversion that has lasted 3.5 years without me finishing any of my games. Let alone exhausting their replay value. It's single player, offline only, no DRM and easily sharable ( HERE!) If I were going to act like a stupid dickhead I'd point and laugh. As well as call everyone who bought anything newer a fag and retard. Though, again, I'm not sure why losing an argument means the other person is gay, or why there should be anything wrong with being gay. Loser strategy IMO.

My point is...

IF it works for you it works. Everything has pros and cons. For you. your console has more pros that you love over cons that you tolerate. Maybe frame rate REALLY MATTERS to your friend. Or maybe, since he's trying to be superior, his ego needs some THING to compensate for other insecurities. You are not him. He is not you. Each of you should enjoy playing the way you play.

But don't put up with any hipster douchebaggery just because someonelse's meat is your poison.

In the wise wise words of the Immortal Bobby Burns:

"It's a good thing we don't all like the same things. Think of what a Haggis shortage there would be."

Yes. I've done that before. My PC is capable of playing anything at full-quality, but that's not the way I've chosen to use it. I'm also too lazy to connect the cable to my TV. My wire situation is a bit of a clusterfuck, and PC gaming would only make it worse. My problem with controllers comes with using PS3 ones with MIJ(MotioninJoy), and some games love to fuck around with my controller, making me constantly have to restart a game because the character is frozen or keeps moving in one direction. I've manually downloaded xinput and dinput dlls, but shit still happens.

I can't tell tone very well on the Net, but it sounded like you were being a smartass. I didn't mean to come across as a dick when I wrote that, but well...Youtube makes anyone who devotes enough time browsing the comments of gaming videos pretty fucking crazy. Just tired of the console wars and PC elite shit. People just need to get along.

Also, not into MMO's, any online, or strategy stuff. So a PC's library is about as good as a console as far as I can see. Only RPG's I dig are JRPG's. I'm a sucker for SMT though. Take my money Atlus, fucking take it!!

Uhh.. Sorry for sounding like a smart ass, wasn't trying to do that >.<! Should have added some smiles xD! *plus now that I read through it .. typos -.-!!

Well all I wanted to point out was, when you have the option to do all this. Having trouble with controllers, might be a pain in the ass, or even, just to get all the settings down for it to work perfectly, is a pain, but the end result, in the long run it will pay off, because of the graphical enhance, all the other games, that you can play on the PC.. Even if you aren't a fan or generally like those type of games, the option is there for you to play them as well in the future, if you ever change your mind.
. :P

This actually comes from someone that hasn't got the option to play great games on PC's, but I know the differences between the two.
Of course if you're lazy, then there's no helping it-.-

I think PCs just blow consoles away in almost every way and I'm not even a 'PC master race' person (I don't have a gaming computer, just an old laptop, lol). Only benefits I can think of for consoles would be console exclusives and cheaper price point. But with emulation and people's disregard for IP and copyright I guess even console exclusives aren't too exclusive... From a technical standpoint a computer does seem to be better...

I honestly think that for most cases the 'better fps' and 'better graphics' don't even matter. Most people aren't going to notice the difference. Modding is probably the real reason why people may prefer a PC version over a console one.

Oh, that's cool. Another reason I've begun to abstain from PC gaming besides pure laziness setting stuff up is that my eyes have gotten worse in recent years. I'm an avid gamer, so I'll probably go blind before 40 or something, but the differences between a PC version and console version are noticeable, but not to the point where I want to shell out extra cash for it every single time.

And I've never been into multiplayer online. Or for that matter any MMO's or strategy games. So it's pretty much a "if it's on console I'm good" mindset.
