Copying is easy. Copying lines is easy.

However, when I had projects, I didn't want to copy anything or anyone.
This is my problem. I always want to go Inception (like the movie).
Everything I would create should come from nothing. Like a new idea.
Like the first time creating a wheel or discovering fire.

That's why I was always late on my submissions.

The lousy artist of deviantArt should be put in concentration camps, gassed with Zyklon B, and sent to yiff in hell.

Most people are bad when they start. It's okay. It takes practice, practice, and practice to become better.

However, it's just dishonest when copy or modify someone's design work and claim it as your own.

Never been on it.

I used to upload some of my artwork there. Now I hate it. I can't remember what it was exactly, but it had something to do with them being nazi about copyrights. I think it's pathetic. A true artist doesn't care about copyrights unless he's a capitalist pig.

If I lived a couple of years earlier to my birth, art forgery could have been my thing. I think I should join it the next time I am to get my holiday (Dec) then I can go back to drawing.

I come across too many awesome artists on DA to complain much about the *ahem* forgers, recolorers, etc...

Hey, that's not the worst. The worst is simple uploads of other people's photos and images, like manga pages pulled right off a reader site. No editing or anything involved. And even if the uploader says in the description that they weren't responsible for the creation of the image, most browsers don't read the description. Once, one of the featured daily deviation was a photo, and it was suggested because the photography skill was good - and in the description the uploader said it wasn't taken by them. And indeed, it still had a little watermark in the corner with the actual photographer's dA name.

But, these kinds of things happen when you have the freedom to upload as much as you want, whatever, whenever. Lots of good stuff, and a huge amount of flaky stuff.

There are also lots of bad drawings of characters in a trademark pose that are obviously supposed to be that character in that pose. But I don't understand the point of attempting to copy something badly by hand. If they wanted to copy it, they could just....copy it electronically. Some originality wouldn't hurt. The intention of copying hurts it (to me) more than bad drawing skills.

I am so bad.

You monster. Butchering that guy from Yu Yu Hakusho. He doesn't even look like a Vincent.

Eh, I don't really care one way or another.

Ive been using DA for so long now and I've not seen that shit once tho all i can say is thank god for being a damn artist myself. Goodluck for all the other less-skilled "artists" out there, just practice darling.
