Omg dude, I'm so scared to see what's going to happen now!

I still have a feeling that Mine is going to live this. I really couldn't tell you why. It's just that, all the odds are against her and they've been against her for a while now (ever since the priest told them their prophesy), but she's still managed to survive all this time. It just seems like it would be too easy to kill her off.

First off, without Mine, how the hell would they win!? I have a feeling that Lubbock is as good as dead. I don't think he'll give in and by the time they do get saved somehow, I think it may be too late. So if they lose Mine and Lubbock? They're as good as done.

Second, Mine's teigu is an interesting weapon because it powers up once she's in a pinch. So if she's fighting Esdese, imagine how powerful it would be.

Third, I think Tatsumi and Mine's relationship is going to be one of the actual happy things to come out of this manga. I see both of them making it out alive in the end. If Mine dies man, Tatsumi's whole physique would go to shit. He would be done.

See I do not know how that could happen at this point without it feeling like an ass pull. With the build up and the foreshadowing, to break her flags at this point will just leave everyone disappointed (except for the Mine fans ).

Answering your first point is simple: Who is most likely to defect at this point in time? And who would follow them?

Secondly as awesome as Pumpkin is, can it really hold up against a power that can FREEZE MOTHERF*CKING TIME?! Combine that with just how insanely strong Esdese is, she's as good as dead and I say it's time to move on, gg no re.

As for the third point, think Simon and Kamina.

I almost think it would be too predictable if Mine died. She's had a death flag since the priest, if she dies it would just be like, "yep, saw that one coming from miles and miles away." But if she lived, I think that would be more impactful and actually refreshing.

I think the author is going to troll us all hard and have Mine live.

What I think would be more impactful would be to have Mine die only then come back later and save Tatsumi or have her incapacitated and on the verge of death. But at this point in time, whether Mine lives or dies, either outcome will be predictable.

But I agree that the author is a master manipulator of feelings.

So, Esdese now knows that Tatsumi likes another girl. With Esdese, any path could be created next chapter. It's hard for me to guess, but I don't think Esdese will turn on Tatsumi. But, I don't know what to guess next. Every thought I have of what Esdese might do is countered by what she might actually NOT do. The solution is simple: I need the next chapter to read like yesterday. A month is a long time thinking of what Esdese will do, what happens to Luboc, and what will Mine do? And yes my heart did break somewhat for Esdese when Tatsumi told her (I know I know I'm going to hell for that lol).

Hey guys... what about a different plot twist...? Couldn't Tatsumi die instead of Mein(Mine)? The series IS called Akame Ga Kill and Tatsumi doesn't actually appear in the title.

Just because it has been from his perspective up until now doesn't actually mean that he's going to survive, which is the scariest part for me. I mean, we've already seen that MC's can get killed off...

Also, I feel terrible for Lubbock... Ouch... I wonder if he's going to crack or not.........

What if Esdess kills Tatsumi?

General Budoh definitely interested me this chapter though. Why the hell are the prime minister and his son not afraid of general Budoh? Is it because they are so well-trusted by the emperor or something else...?

You know I never even thought about that, and you're right that is a possibility. Then again I doubt Tatsumi would get killed, if anything I feel like Esdeath is just gonna beat the crap out of Tatsumi, and possibly torture him a bit. But now after what you've said I might have to think about this more critically.

A Tatsumi death twist and shifting over to Akame wouldn't be surprising to me but I don't think Esdeath would be the one to kill him, if anything she would probably just find and kill whoever was Tatsumi's girlfriend.

Tatsumi, why are you so dumb?

For what reason did he feel the need to inform Esdeath that he was in a relationship? I mean, the guy could've took advantage of Esdeath in that situation to help him out in some manner, even in the slightest regard. But no, he decided to parade Mine's death flag even further.

Also, sucks for Lubbock. I don't think he'll end up dying though. I think he'll probably just come out greatly incapacitated. Perhaps to a point where it'll effect him for the rest of the series (that's excluding his "you know what" getting crushed in this chapter).

I mean... he didn't want to cheat on his girlfriend.... I wouldn't call that dumb... I'd just call him a stupid idealist acting like he is in the wrong type of world...

If this were a less tragic world, then what he did would have probably been the right thing to do... but probably not in this case...

Kill Tatsumi? Wtf not! And why is everybody so attached to frigin Mein/Mine or whatever? (Just another b1tchy tsundere...)
If it comes down to Esdeath vs. Mine and Takahiro will just make his favourite char survive this with "power of love" It'l be sign, that this manga is turning a bit off it's course, or simplier: BS.

And Tatsumi, ah our strategic genius, probably just killed Lubbock with his honesty. What I look forward too next? (aka: what I hope will happen, and makes Lubback survive, and not turn him into another martyr)

1.) Esdeath killing Syura, for screwing with Bors's family and Ran.

2.) Prime Minister takes it as act of treason, and not disposing failure of his son.

That seems like the entire point of this manga to me. Let's toss a typical shonen hero into an insanely fucked up world and see what happens.
