Ep 11

Finally, the real plan behind everything is shown. Though their evil plan does seem kind of...lacking in impact on me at least.

Agreed. The cultural invasion aspect was pretty obvious to me but even before Shinichi's "new proposal" it seems like they were beginning to go down the route of turning that cultural invasion into their own artistic output. Limited supply would likely drive them down that road rather than the road of slavery to Japan for accepting the trickle of manga and anime they were providing.

Again, it is interesting because to me it is obvious that this is about the US culturally invading Japan. Japan took Disney's big eyed animated characters and turned them into the anime we see today, better animation than has ever been produced on this continent IMO. With better stories as well but I might be a wee bit biased... Japan has for centuries or even millenia taken from other cultures and refined and improved things to create better than the original in a very short period of time and that's what they're showing here for Eldant. We'll see if they too can incorporate it without losing their own identity.

The show went from silly/serious to silly and now seems like it will end on a serious note. I wondered for a while if he'd go the Dune route with the protag joining the other side. His disposability means he can also cut and run much more easily than someone with strong ties to his home so it looks like that will conveniently backfire on the Japanese government.

It is interesting though as many early anime shows also had the same cultural invasion basis, e.g. Macross. It was used as a weapon to defeat the enemy there while I expect that Eldant's own magic will be used in this case instead.

That's really good old school diplomacy, marry into it! Not a bad plan really except... that he really loves Myucel but having a consort on the side is also good old school diplomacy but I don't know if that would work there...

Same with me We knew Mr. Smiles-a-lot-don't-trust-him was using him but this tactic was a bit underwhelming. I'm curious what the last episode will look like. I suppose the fire they show in the preview is him burning the library faking his death and staying with Myucel somewhere At least that's my perfect ending

Question for those who have read the light novel/manga...is there anything to actually continue after the next episode?

Or have they deviated from the original work?

It never even occurred to me that he might fake his death. That is something to think about at least.

But then again, they will probably just replace him if this happens. I seriously don't know how they'll wrap this up in one episode.

Well if he's still alive by the end of the episode I doubt Japan will allow him to continue breathing.. I mean I've seen other things happen but who knows. The fact that the library was on fire was enough to get the wheels turning for me. Could be completely wrong. That's happened to me several times during this series.

Still, decent anime overall, or rather surprising series of the season. 7/10

Thanks for the post, I'll check out the episode myself after I watch HenNeko BBS

After the bad taste that Infinite Stratos 2 left in my mouth, I'm happy to say that I enjoyed watching this series to the fullest. I just hope that sometime down the line, we'll see an OVA or a new adaptation

I give this series an B+. If you haven't check it out yet, then please do and see if you like it but if it's not up to your taste; then thanks for check out the series

Episode 12
Overall a decent ending.

Only think that I would say kinda bugged me was that the Japanese government issue was resolved way to easily, though with one episode I can see why so I'll let it slide.

This was definitely a surprise favorite of mine this season considering I was planning on dropping this/not even starting because of I didn't like character designs at first.Overall 7/10.

Edit: Also Shinichi with dat "All your base are belong to us." t-shirt XD.
