Hey, people who don't like Ads, stop being angry and search a little on google. If you use Firefox or Google Chrome, you can get AdBlock and all your Ads will be gone in no time.

Then shouldn't they have a time when it premires then?

In the past CR has had the first couple episodes "late" even for premium subscribers depending on when the deal was made.

I believe Hulu won't allow access if you're using Adblock and I imagine it won't be long till other major video streaming sites follow suit.

Yay! I looks like CR is finally getting serious with expanding the territories. Keep it up! I hope to forget the whole “not available in your region” thing ever existed.

EDIT – Backtracked down the thread – apparently there are still regions with limited access this time, but still I don’t remember a season with over 7 potentially good anime being in my region, so I do see progress.

Again, the EU gets shafted with that licensing stuff...

I kinda want my money's worth, but so far I can't say I've had just that...

CR might as well just IP block the EU and stick with NA only.. At this rate i'm getting more ouf of free streaming sites than i'm getting from a site I pay hard cash to in order to watch streams.

Not happy? Hell no i'm not happy about CR taking my money. If you go to a damned restaurant and order a full plate but only get half, but still have to pay full price, is that fair? No, it's not.

There is a reason for unified payment instead of different for each country. I think that mayor points are:

1. People would start to use proxy etc to buy premium cheaper. So Crunchy would be forced to actively prohibit any use of proxy or similar service. Right now users that use proxy or similar to bypass RR are not big problem. Crunchy can't allow it because of licence but they also didn't lost profit because of that.
But if they make different price per country they will lose profits. If US member will buy cheaper German premium instead of US one it will be real loss.

2. Crunchy don't tie availability to account but to identified IP at the beginning of session. It means that if i travel to US i would get all the shows available and US user will get only locally licensed if he travel here. Imagine you buy premium in german for example because there is a show you want to watch, but when you return to Sweden you notice that you only have premium for shows available in Germany.
And still because of licence agreement you can't watch the shows that area available in Germany but not in your country.

And what will happen to gifted premium from other country? The above applies here to.

3. I though like you before that the different price on country is needed but it's not. It would just create huge mess, more annoying barriers and banning every proxy user and a lot of calculating. And there is a little profit for users. I mean how much lower the price could get? How much in year would you save up?
And it will NOT be 50% price for 50% availability. It's possible that cost per user for Sweden or Finland would be bigger then for US licence.
And there is no guarantee that price would be lower at all. Depending on cost and number of viewers it's possible that some countries would have to paid more even when getting less.

4. They often says that they bid for every anime for every country. It's my guess, but the aim is to treat anime market globally as much as possible and not as bunch of hundreds of small markets in each country. Unified payment is needed in that "bringing anime globally" thing too.

EDIT: Canceled my recurring payments. I'll just use those free streaming sites instead. At least I don't have to worry about not being able to enjoy new shows due to licensing issues.

I wonder what you refer as "free streaming sites". Just saying, but no matter what no legal service can rival with pirate streaming in worldwide licences. The second one don't even care about them at all. And Crunchy in not premium only service. There are a lot of people watching anime here for free.

BTW I looks like lineup page is now region generated. I preferred when they showed all of them, now comparing is harder. You could just grey out the RR shows. Well al least it finally confirm Galilei Donna availability now.

8/18 it's over 40%. It a lot better then around 20% from previous season. Keep up good work. And there is also Kill la Kill at daisuki... Now i expect more of that expanded territories thing to happen!

EDIT Didn't see Kill la Kill update since it's not on lineup yet, so it's 9/18 now. 50% Goooooood!
