Episode 6
Was right about Airi misunderstanding Fino being Raul's girlfriend.

Dat massage chair,lol.

That others store labor force made me think of a sweatshop.Really pissed me off that they just dispose of the creatures once they died.

White goo on Fino's face again.

Amada using those monster things to harvest magic to get more customers/to get rid of their competition.

Fino was freaking ADORABLE this episode.

The Leon mascot suits were pretty cute too.

Amada can fuck right off. Bunch of assholes there.

And that TV manufacturer using those poor Lonely Eyes for cheap labor literally working them to death.

The funny thing is, with the show about Lawson/HMV and Amada looking like perhaps a bit of a dig on Amazon, one wonders if there really is some commentary there on big stores/corporations like Amazon killing the small stores (not like Lawson/HMV is a small chain itself) or if this is just for humor? With all the boob physics you wonder, are we meant to take that seriously or not? Same goes for the dead monster QA department...

Amada reminds me more of Walmart, tbh.

Anyway, this show continues to surprise me. I didn't expect sweat shops and the bad side of retail to be parts of this show. And just as it turns serious... SLIME MONSTER ATTACK! Count on this show to surprise you.

This show has genuinely surprised me. After the first episode, I was worried that this was gonna be one of those shows with an okay premise dragged down by gratuitous fan-service and generic harem antics. When it started, it seemed like it didn't really know what to do, so it just kept shoving boobs in your face...not that I'm opposed to that, but it felt very half-baked to me.

As time has passed on, and the characters (particularly Fino) have gotten more development, the show has improved immensely. The jokes are more funny (and occasionally, very subtly clever) and the fan-service scenes are more well paced and a bit more sensible within the story (or, at least, used for effective jokes). The show also has avoided going too far down the harem route by focusing more on his relationship with Fino; yeah, its obvious Airi is interested in him, but it doesn't seem like it'll do the wishy-washy harem thing with that pairing.

Then, with this episode, we get some actual social commentary; granted, it isn't exactly subtle (Amada seems to be just plain evil), but the death of mom-and-pop and small chain stores is a real issue, and their take on it is *definitely* not what I expected from this show. Overall, I'm very much looking forward to where this war with Big Retail takes them.

It would be better if everything didn't explode in white goo whenever its defeated. The monsters don't look like their insides would be white, anyway, especially that green goo thing, its insides would probably be green.

So, by that argument, our insides shouldn't be red. Right?

Apparently the Seiyu chain is owned by Walmart.

And despite Lawson being in the show--good product placement--I don't believe Amada is truly meant to reflect any particular corporation.

So I guess Leon is just supposed to be a small store then, not Yamada's rival Kojima.
