Video errors, not good quality unless you're a premium member, not many titles, sooo many ads, and occasionally incorrect subs.

Lack of an auto-play full-screen feature and no real use for the "CR points." Other than that I actually think this site has quite a bit going for it.

They didn't do that? I thought they did already.

The biggest risk is that Crunchyroll starts to lose its ability to license anime. I think the biggest threat to this is that the distributors start to do their own streaming. For example, any anime licensed by Funimation is unlikely to be simulcast or even to have older shows here. Daisuke.net, which is partly funded by Aniplex--which has seen a lot of their animes streamed by CR--is another. We've recently seen this realized when the streaming of Monogatari season 2 episodes is delayed by about a month from broadcast/Daisuke streaming.

I like the fact that for one relatively inexpensive subscription, I can get access to about 20+ simulcast shows. If this number drops significantly due to the shows going off to their own paid portal, then it becomes more iffy that the shows I want to watch are hosted here, and it raises the amount of money I have to spend if these shows distribute themselves across 3+ services.

I think this is the best answer so far.

Now that you mention it, what are CR points used for, anyway?

The biggest risk, IMO, is losing subscribers to other forms of entertainment. Anime / manga fandom is thriving here, but, on the whole, it is not very large, especially compared to comic book fandom, British television fandom, etc. Relying on a niche always carries the possibility that the niche will shrink and / or disappear as time passes. For example, remember when anime was biggest on DVD? Remember how that crashed, and how most of those distributors – except for Funimation – failed? Crunchyroll and its competitors have arisen from that crash, but there always needs to be a certain level of caution, if you ask me.

First rule of CR points, don't talk about CR points.

Well, I love using CR on my ps3 and soon they'll need a ps4 app that I'll need to use.
But mostly, I think that was long as CR continues to get the rights to show anticipated shows and anime, then they'll always be a stop on the map for dedicated watchers.

Pretty sure as long as they keep doing what they're doing they'll be fine for quite a while

I just unsubscribed and got refunded due to my inability to watch even SD anime without stuttering... It was fine for 2 months and then all of a sudden I just couldn't watch anything anymore. I'll sub again in 2 months and see if it's any better, if it isn't then another refund. Every other video streaming site is perfect in 1080P.

Longstanding technical issues and support that doesn't help anyone will lose subscribers for sure.

There are lots of things.

Personally if they ever go the Hulu+ route and add commercials even when you are subscribing, I will be dropping my subscription the next day. If I wanted to pay for commercials I would still have cable and access to 100+ stations and not just 1 website.
