I just watched the anime and since I can not watch anime on Crunchyroll I had to watch it on a Japanese site.

The new voice of coach Kamogawa was fine but they should not have changed the voice of the commentator on the match and it was our biggest complain in Japan. We all miss his "Makunouchi no migiiiiii~~~~~~!!!".

The story was little too rush, but I'm glad they use the old BGM.

New episode was awesome though I feel like they are rushing things more this season for whatever reason

I'm wondering how hard it would be for CR to get the first two.

Geneon had Season 1 and I think it went to Funi when they went under. Not sure if Funi kept the license up though

I don't think anyone picked up season 2

This is my first time actually watching Hajime no Ippo. I didn't have a hard time following what was happening.

This fight is pretty tense, man.

This opinion seems to be the consensus among fans of the series. I think it was intentionally set up this way to try capture the attention of people who may be new to the series like Koda89. I think they'll slow it down a bit and include more humor, give us back story on the opponents and focus on the build-up and training for the fights before they hit us with the actual in-ring drama next time. The premier for season 3 was decent, but it doesn't represent Hajime No Ippo at its best. Not by a long shot.

I really hope the pacing slows down for some of the fights coming up. I did like this new episode and how they ended this fight.
I could not be more happy to have the old music back from the original series along with the gorgeous HD animation.
I think this will get more people to watch the original series and New Challenger and that is awesome.

Watch the first two seasons!

Or just watch this. It will be a fun ride on it's own.

That was a damn good fight. I was actually flipping cheering Ippo on the second time he started up the Dempsey Roll.

This episode just sucked me right in.

Some things never change. I'm still stressing every time Ippo has a fight. It's like he's always one hit away from losing. Still feel like he's the challenger.

Yeah it took me two episodes to notice this. I really miss the previous commentator. You could feel his passion.

Today's episode was my favorite so far. Aoki trying to make weight and the awkward weigh-in meeting with his opponent was

Just saw a picture of Mike Alvarado from yesterday's weigh-in who is defending his title in a fight tonight on HBO against Ruslan Provodnikov.

Seems that weight-drained Aoki isn't too big of an exaggeration. The amount of weight these guys cut before a fight and put back on overnight is crazy.
