I haven't been able to stop thinking about how beautifully amazing that ending song was. I think I watched the whole episode 3 times, and then found an isolated clip of just the ending song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6fPKWWiFIM

I seriously can't get over it. I hope they keep this acoustic version as the ED, or at least release an official version of it. I'm okay with the pop-y feel of the official full version, but just the guitar and piano mix hits me so hard. And that sunset animation... *sigh* Incredible.

Now that I'm done gushing over that ending song, I can say that I have high hopes for this. Beginning with what I assume is the end of the show was an interesting choice. It gave me a taste of what I can expect, and now I want more... Like, right now.... Please? The animation, the music (oh god, the music!), and the characters are all great!

And if what I've heard about the VN is any indication, This has great potential! I'm just so sad that the VN for White Album 2 doesn't have any sort of translation. I'd love to read it.

You should sample Yuki Morikawa's version (Aya Hirano's)

I liked that version, because the vocals are still wonderful, but if there were an acoustic version, I'd be completely in love with it! XD

Finally got around to watching this, and I'm scared already. Many tears are going to be had over this show, I just know it.

But the OST/music here is going to make it all worth it.

The beginning three minutes were so impressive. It takes a lot of guts to show the ending right at the beginning, but I am ready to go on this ride with the characters. Pretty sold on this show after one episode. High expectations going forward.

Dang, I wasn't expecting much and the episode blew me away. The music and atmospherics are perfect, plus I'm a guitar romantic so it pulls at my heart strings so to say.

For some reason I had a flash back to School Days there at the beginning and I thought to my self "oh god no!"

Really looking forward to this now.

I was just running through the fall seasons first episodes of each show just to see which ones I would pickup or not. When I saw White Album 2 I remembered how I had watched a few episodes of the first one and could not really get into it.

Then I watched it and I was engrossed in the first 5 minutes! Great music, great animation, and a serious love triangle compared to your regular harem. Really excited to see where this goes.

Thank you! I wanted to hear this so bad yesterday on the bus I actually loaded up the episode on my phone and skipped to the end just to hear it!

Why? People should suffer what was a crappy adaptation of an OK VN.

But seriously, here are the reasons why you shouldn't bother with White Album, especially the anime:
Okay, White Album 2 is Not White Album 1

ep 2

Out of all the romantic/drama/comedies this season, after 2 episodes I prefer this one the most.

Nagi no Asukara has the animation

Golden Time has the Taiga lookalike

But just something about this show, its characters and its music makes me like it above the rest

Yeah. I've found that music can make or break a show.

I agree on all counts! Nagi has the animation but the love polygon is a bit...

Golden Time is awesome too but without music this good and with the OP kind of telegraphing things...

White album 2 is amazing! I love the first two episodes! So far it looks like another great Starchild/Satelite musical anime collaboration. Will have to see about picking up the music and maybe the video discs too for this one.

That ending was pretty surprising for me. I thought he would of fallen with a cliffhanger. The episode's theme song was also beautiful.
