Episode 3

Great episode. The coach is pretty epic just like Kuroko no Basket 2 earlier. Damn, I hope that kid can become an ace pitcher someday. It was funny seeing him getting punked by his teammates though ha.

I had decided I really liked sports anime, and I am indeed continuing to like Kuroko's Basketball. But it's images like the above, over and over again--super-high intensity+goofiness--that just annoy me and dull my senses, that have resulted in me dropping Ace of the Diamond (and may also lead to me dropping Yowapeda also). I am not one for all the hilarity, I guess. That kid freaking out all the time makes me want to slap him or give him a good talking to, and since I can't, the next best thing for my own sanity is to walk away.

Kuroko's Baskeball certainly has it's share of intense, over-the-top moments but the overall feel of the series is much more low-key--to me at least--and that's more appealing to me.

You guys should know that this anime is not just about Sawamura alone,

His character is written that way , he is the exact opposite of a usuall male freshman japanese baseball player....... but this anime is about the whole team and how each individual role contributes to the goal of the team. He is not the only Ace the title is refering to , actually ,he is not even considered the Ace ..lol

Sawamura is a goofball and loud mouth but he has his moments of humility along the way. Too bad his character can cause people to shun away from this title but this one is written very well with a lot of interesting characters and it includes some technical baseball stuff along the way which I find very educational since I only know a few basic baseball stuff, even though I played it in HS but no one really taught me .

I know there are a lot of baseball anime in the past but I feel this one is closer to reality in a lot of ways.

I also think this one is written much better than Area no Kishi But I actually feel the style is similar to how Kuroko no Basket is written.

The latest is volume 39 at the japanese bookstore and scanlated around volume 15. The art in the manga are drawn very well.

Believe me , this one gets pretty intense as the story develops, really intense.
So my advice is fo stick a little bit longer.

I just hope they animate this one as far as they could.

But I dont about their timing of this , Koshien happens during the summer, August.I wonder if they are planning to continue the anime and time it with national tournament next year. hmmm ...but I am hoping

If people would stick with sports anime for at least, maybe 6 episodes they would see the greatness the genres brings. I agree completely, don't let the goofiness turn you away because I read the manga and this show did a fantastic job sharing the spotlight among different characters. One of them being in my Top Five Favorite Sports Characters.

Well, episode 4 was fun. There are some new characters introduced a new rival. He's got a power arm too so looking forward to see more of that.

I had to face palm myself @ this though:

LOve Episode 4 Just like in the manga

But I noticed the animation seem weaker...

I sure love all the voices I am hearing . New character Furuya is Shimazaki who was Haru in Iwatobi Swim Club, Team Captain No.3 Tetsuya is Hosoya who is Hyuga in Kuroku no Basket.

Episode 4 Amazing.

I was excited to see Tanaba throws get animated, beside the fact he was bad this time around. What I love about this serious is that everyone on the team wasn't handed talent to them and everyone on the first string literally work they asses off to earn that spot. No super power to hit homeruns all the time or thee pitcher being able to strike everyone out. Started from the ground up and practice all day. But, you always have to have that talented guy and that's Kazuya Miyuki. Now I'm just sitting back and waiting for my hero to show up in the series.

Good episode. New rival introduced. His arm cannon vs. Sawamura's trick pitch. Talk about a potentially lethal 1-2 punch of starting pitcher and relief pitcher, respectively.

Also holy gaggle of new cute girls.

As you can see that there are different pitchers in this team

I cant wait to see those pages move.... the game agaisnt their senpai is going to be good becuase that will determin who will be in the second string and or qualify ..... from the freshman and of course Sawamura is still......

Next episodes will be exciting !!!

I think I will cosplay for this team as Miyuki

Episode 5

Another great episode. Out of all the sports series this season, this and Kuroko no Basket 2 are my favorites although this one is starting to shine even more.

I love most of the players so far and for our Eijun-kun, I think he'll get better soon but he needs to work on throwing straight balls and hit correctly. I think he has a lot of potential though.

Now, I'll just leave this here:

Why is their coach so epic??

I love it !!!
Even though I read this part already but it just exciting watching it .

Although this episode focused a lot on Sawamura, heck we see him cry so many times now lol!!! but eventually it will even out with the other key characters.

Anyway that pink dude is a ...welll......., just watch the intro and he is like his ......and now we know what Furuya is capable of ...and its Haru ...in baseball lol

Cant wait for the next because we know who will be batting next and on the mound next , just remember his long throw ....thats why he cant do outfield... :...but since he is not afraid to face an inside pitch even though how fast it is... his other special skill will be revealed later

Oh by the way in the manga, when the kantoku stood up from the ofuro , Sawamura actually commented in his mind that .....ehem,,,, was like of a ***
gomenasai !!!!

Anyway the manga is really good , I like how this title show their weakness and what they do to improve and I know this anime will just get better and better.
So far where they cut the episode is pretty good, ,,,

My only complaint is the animation quality..... its weak.

Good episode. So Sawamura is pretty much currently running on just his potential as a pitcher cause he can't do anything else right yet. Can't field, can't bat. He can run pretty fast I guess, but that's it. I loved it when he drilled the upperclassman in the back with his pitch.

Head coach just getting more badass.

You can't really expect it to be any better for a low profile series that is most likely going to be 50+ eps long.
