Ep 8

This show really makes me feel conflicted. At times the show is really good with great scenes and emotion, at other times it just reaches new lows and some characters really get annoying.

Like this episode makes up for the bore that was the previous episode.

Well whatever, will keep on watching anyway.

Ep 8

So Chris' training menu was meant more to prevent Eijun from getting injured. Makes sense given his situation. Chris' practice time being short was finally explained.

OK, but not great for me. Eijun is pretty annoying most of the time. His attitude is starting to wear thin on me. I guess it is sports anime but it is predictable and fairly uninteresting at this point. I hope it picks up.

In terms of sports anime this season:

Yowapeda > Kuroko's Basketball >> Ace of Diamond

I'm not really much of a sports anime fan unless you include Chihayafuru, Saki and Girls Und Panzer. But Ace of Diamond looked a bit different so I was hopeful at the start.

Yowamushi Pedal turned me off pretty much right away for some reason. Just not really my cuppa tea. Kuroko never was.

I'm actually surprised you've kept watching this rather than Yowapeda which is (so far) almost better in every way. Though I guess YMMV and all that stuff.

Yowamushi turned me off immediately for some reason. Perhaps I should have given it a second chance but I'm watching 30 shows right now so I have to draw the line somewhere and shows that turn me off generally stay off for me. I finally dropped Coppelion, surprised I'm still watching Galilei Donna. Ace of Diamond may be the next show to be dropped unless it picks up.

It was probably the lead character, it happened to me. I didn't really like him at first until I watched a couple more episodes.

I say when you have the chance and don't have a lot of shows to watch, give it another shot. Watch a couple episodes rather than just one. You might actually like it...or not.

Damn man. This was a really, really intense episode. So Chris's conditioning work out schedule for Sawamura makes sense now. Sawamura has that weird whipping throwing motion, seems like he can easily tear some important muscles if he isn't properly conditioned.

And damn all this time I thought Miyuki simply beat out Chris for starting catcher and that was why Chris was seemingly perma-depressed. If anything, Chris is probably a better catcher than Miyuki, but because of what is essentially a career ending injury, he's been sidelined ever since, and Miyuki just took his vacant spot.

I am back from a trip....

This episode is one of my favorite part of the manga becuase this is where Sawamura started to realize how stupid and incompetent as a baseball player he is especially when he thinks about it , that he has been an idiot and a fool , and the truth about Chris and Miyuki revealed and seeing the other side of Miyuki , showing how he respects Chris,.

What I like about this title is that it depicts a lot of realism and so this anime can get very intense and then light and then very exciting. The range of the emotions is actually wide. This one is pretty much a drama ....with sports

So the pacing of this anime is not fast compared to other sports anime because this title also focuses more on character development . So patience is the key in this one.

And later on its actually going to be pretty educational when it comes to baseball , regarding pitchers and catchers.

However ,I still feel a different seiyuu is better for Chris senpai , although I do like Namikawa san, there are other seiyuu that would be his stature and age
and the animation could be better...
.oh well. I will just have to deal with it

Anyway according to the anime/manga Chris has 2 injury . A pronator teres injury which is on the anterior forearm and the second is on the shoulder the subscapularis which is part of the rotator cuff of the shoulder. Most likely his injury is on his throwing arm.

This episode ends chapter 21.

Ep 9

Show is getting better because Sawamura isn't all "HAHAHA I'm awesome!" all the time and realizes that he needs to improve from the ground up.

The show's animation is kind of all over the place but it does have its moments when it looks good, like when you get serious faced people like Sawamura here

It was okay I guess. I don't have much to add this week but the show maintains its position well with Eijun and those guys. I hope to see a real match again soon though.

Well I hope they do shorten the writting a bit
becuase

So you guys have to have patience with this one coz we wont be seing a full game until then all the games we see a little here and there are like invitational stuff and has nothing to do with their entry for the summer nationals .

anyway I am going to cosplay for this anime as Miyuki , so I am putting together the uniform , not tailoring but getting similar stuff out there and adding the details

Ouch, both Sawamura and Furuya got pulled, but for different reasons. Sawamura cause he had a shitty game due to relying on his ball control instead of power and Furuya because the intensity of his pitching style injured his finger nail. On top of that Furuya was banned from throwing for a few weeks.
