I keep an alphabetized list in a word document. I'm up to 303 and this list enables me to remember and make recommendations.
I also note the anime songs I want and keep lists of those, too.

I type my list on my cellphone.

Between Crunchyroll's queue and Anime1.com's favorite list I'm covered. They both send me notices when an anime has a new episode as well so I don't miss much.

I use notepad on my laptop, got every anime I'd ever seen in alphabetical order. Then a note pad for Detective Conan so I can keep track of the seasons, movies and OVA's in order. Then a note pad for all the anime I'm going to watch. Then a Death Note for people I don't like.

MAL, I just checked out Hummingbird though. It doesn't look too bad but I think I'll stick to MAL.

I never kept lists in the past, just watched... It kinda made sense in the early days of viewing when it was difficult to obtain and meant having to own VHS or DVDs of what you watched. (or borrowed). Lists weren't huge. But as I got more and more people throwing recs at me lately (without my asking), I figured, "what the hell, I'll try to start using a list".

So, within the past few days,I have been trying to use MAL.

Problem is I have listen 388 watched, 54 dropped, and I got a huuuuuuuuuge headache just trying to put down titles and rate based on my crappy memory. And what for? Most of those titles were just "meh".

I'm just going tag by tag trying to comb through lists. It sucks. Half of them I didn't know by their japanese names, and I have to vaguely remember the descriptions, and confirm with characters (and then if I don't recognize that, I can still try and hopefully see if the title matches what I think it is).

In the end, I'm thinking of just going back to my "IDGAF" style of record keeping. Besides, the most important list is the list of ones I really want to find a way to get so I can rewatch.

I have a white board in my room and I write my anime on it with dry erase markers. I also remember when my anime comes on too. I just like to have the board though. It makes me look organized.

Keep my own record haha .

For once I listed out the anime I'm current watching in my profile, and the ones on my list but has yet to be released (future anime) while the ones I had watched I wrote them down in my page ^^ also in CR haha

Otherwise to keep track of the anime to be watched that week, I actually bought a whiteboard and place it near my laptop/computer area so that I will remember which anime have I not watch that week~

I use MAL, but there are some cool tools I have seen on other sites that require you to put at least some of the shows you have watched into their system. I wish there was a way one could easily import their list, that would be really nice.

Anime-Planet was the first site I used to keep up with my anime, but I might change to MyAnimeList
