Arpeggio of Blue Steel Vol. 3 is 6TH on the Japan's Animation Blu-ray Disc Ranking, March 10-16

Hurray! Arpeggio still killing it in the sales. They'd be stupid not to do a season 2 with the numbers Arpeggio is pulling with each volume. That is, if I am reading these sales charts right. Please be more than happy to correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't each volume sold over 10,000 copies each? If that's true, it means Arpeggio is a smash hit!

Shh! Hope for season 2 !

I definitely want to see a Season two. I've been reading the Manga which at the point i'm at is a totally different story. I want to see how the anime's take on the story plays out.

Blu-ray sales of volume 4 were 8,458, actually beating out volume 4 of Kill la Kill, which came in at 7,893 (although KLK added on 1,120 DVD sales vs. 859 for Arpeggio).

All in all, good news for the prospects of a second series.

The Japanese love their anthropomorphized battleships. After reading the manga I came to the conclusion that there is no way that they will be able to do a second season unless they come up with an original storyline for it. The manga still has not made it past Kongo's blockade
. Many characters were also completely cut out or in the case of Maya rewritten. That being said, I would love more.

Considering how they managed to make an amazing series despite changing so much from the source material makes me have faith in whatever they do with a second season.

Episodes 5, 6, 10, and 11 are why this show is in my personal Top 10.

The ending was decent and the series was good, but they completely rewrote the manga. They are two separate entities atm. Arpeggio was kind of like an X-men movie. It was entertaining in it's own right, but it changed so much of the underlying story that a sequel that makes sense will be difficult. Right now the anime is actually ahead of the manga, provided the stories are even remotely similar, and Arpeggio is a monthly manga. If there is a season 2 that is connected to the manga, I wouldn't expect it for several years, unless they take what they already cut out and try to build a coherent story around that. That would be no simple task.

My guess is that the Arpeggio IP will be kept alive with video games and the occasional OVA to go with the manga until there is enough plot to build another story around. It's just as well, as I will need time to mentally prepare myself for the onslaught of inevitable "another bland harem" and "why hasn't he gotten further with Iona" complaints if/when it does get another season, .

I definitely want another season of this as there is much more story to come after this, and a lot of other ships to be dealt with. Given how big Kancolle already is even before its anime show airs that it bodes well. Anyway, I am hoping that it gets picked up as it has not been licensed yet, and I can't see this show remaining unlicensed for very long. I would have to think that the battles are going to look spectacular on BD.

im alway against deviating from the manga, but i really really really hope they make a second season, even if its a different story. (i mean, how many times has the marvel universe been rewritten since 1950?)

Has anyone else seen the shorts that are airing with the shows re-airing?

Only about a minute long but so awesome.
