My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy

Really we need anime titles that are this long. Probably will end up watching it anyways though.

So many choices is of course a win for CR and its audience, but it's always a disappointment if your #1 anticipation can't be watched.

Funimation got BlazBlue was at bottom of the last news article posted up by CR.

It's still possible the could could get that one too.

Except Viz picked up Coppelion, and if they were going to share the stream with Crunchyroll, its likely that would have been announced at about the same time. So Coppelion looks like it will only be streaming to the US on Hulu and France on ADN.

Crunchyroll, you have proven yourself as an awesome amigo. You have simulcasts for ALL of what I want now that you got Arpeggio of Blue Steel.

FUNimation picked that one up.

Huge props to Crunchyroll for reeling in all the great shows I wanted to see this season. Never regretted the day I became a premium member.

I must say it is one amazing season we have here. I didn't even slight expectation that the last shows wouldn't be US only. 12/24 if maths is not failing me.
But now, knowing how amazing it goes i hopefully expect more expanded territories, since
I generally wait until most shows have 2 episodes out until starting season, so there is still a little time for this season to become even MORE! amazing.

But Arpeggio, I like that legs! I will watch you soon!

Although CR appears to be finished with their simulcast announcements, anyone holding out hope for any of the following should be aware they were announced as Funimation simulcasts:

Freezing Vibration
Unbreakable Machine-Doll
Tokyo Ravens
BlazBlue

That represents a shrinkage of 2 in the number of simulcasts they have compared to last season.

It's still possible the could could get that one too. Sometimes they add shows that have been out for a few episodes already. Like they did with Monogatari Series: Second Season. Or like they did with Little Busters.

Coppelion is being simulcast by Viz (via Hulu):
http://www.hulu.com/coppelion

You can also go to Viz's own site, but since they use Hulu embeds, I don't see much point.

2 out of 28 are US only (unless there are some short series I haven't counted correctly). That doesn't mean that any one region outside of North America has 26 new simulcasts ... the way that Crunchyroll asks for everything they can get, both for series and for regions, means that you have some series that are available in Eastern Europe but not in France, some are available in France but not Eastern Europe, some are available in the UK but not Latin America, some are available in Latin America but not in the UK, and so on.

The "English Speaking Countries" (which ignores some large English Speaking Countries like Nigeria) tend to get more, but the one that gets the most is South Africa, because in Australia there is competition from Madman and in the UK there has been competition from Anime-on-Demand and just as they dropped out, now there is competition from Wakanim.tv.

This was the first time that we saw Latin America with over 60% of new simulcasts, and the first time we saw multiple series licensed explicitly to Central Europe and Eastern Europe, both of which are very encouraging signs.

Anyway, as long as membership continues to grow in an area, the odds are that regional availability will continue to improve in that region.

Pupa probably won't be simulcast by anyone this season. First, it is a Nico Nico series, and for the past several seasons, those haven't seen a simulcast until it airs on TV (usually the following season). Also, we are a week into October and Pupa still doesn't have an air date (nor apparently an preview with actual animation).

I can remember a while back when everyone was worried about Nico Nico, Daisuki etc. and other new competitors, some of whom had the backing of certain Japanese studios. They thought that this would significantly reduce the available number of shows Crunchyroll would be able to license.

Recent seasons though have proven that this is definitely not the case and it seems that Crunchyroll has basically asserted its position in the anime industry.
