mendo_shutaro wrote: Rather than comparing the numbers, compare the percentages, that's more relevant. This is the worst season for paying UK "whingers" for quite some time, as a percentage.

This literally implies that if Crunchyroll lost every fall license that was NOT licensed in Turkey, those 13 series would be a better deal for the UK than 20 series are now. It implies that would be a better season for the UK, because it would be 100% for the UK, despite the UK losing Valvrave Liberator 2, Galilei Donna, Infinite Stratos 2, White Album 2, Kuroko's Basketball 2, Log Horizon and Non Non Byori.

The percentages are relevant to judging how much competition and limited subscriber base limits access to regions, and relevant to complaining about region blocking, but they are not a direct measure of how much anime UK members are getting.

For making an objective assessment of whether the access provided to UK has improved or gotten worse, the relevant percentage is the percentage of total anime series going to broadcast in Japan in the season, and that was a lower percentage far more recently than is reflected in your exaggerated reaction.

Indeed, one important percentage is the percentage of new simulcasts streaming exclusively to North America, which seems to be the lowest for any Fall Season ever. Your complaint is more that the subscriber base has grown enough in some other regions that some licensors are willing to included Latin America or some groups of countries in continental Europe even when they for some reason are unable to or do not wish to offer UK streaming rights to Crunchyroll.

No matter, Kill La Kill, and all the other missing shows, are only a click or two away, it's just too bad it's worked out this way.

Indeed, and Kill la Kill and Samurai Flamenco are not just a click away via legit means, but Samurai Flamenco will even have a legit free download available in the UK, for those whose connections/setup allow higher quality download viewing than internet streaming.

Do we have another territories extension? Because I can now watch Samurai Flamenco and Valvrave the Liberator(btw. it's weird because I can start watching from 13th episode). If yes, then Cr don't be shy and post a post about it. And unlike in the UK, it's the best season for me with 18 simulcasts. Last fall I've 8 or something like that (4 of them were 3 min shorts)

I think so, since when I last looked at the Spanish Language news (with Google Translate), it's most recent news is that Valvrave 2 had been added for Latin America and Spain. I expect that if Crunchyroll has several region expansions in the works, they may wait until several have been finalized before announcing the complete list.

Looking at the .rss feed, I am guessing that Valvrave in Europe will be "Europe except France, Switzerland, Belgium, Algeria, Monaco, Tunisia, Germany, Luxembourg, Austria, and Liechtenstein".

Part of the Valvrave region expansion has been announced ... just in the Spanish Language Site News. It seems likely that Crunchyroll changed the region access as soon as they got the signed contract amendment, but since as I type its still 7am on the West Coast, they might be putting together an announcement for the main site with all the details sometime later today.

I think CR did a great job this fall season; I have no complaints.

I do wish someone had licensed the new Yokazura Quartet, though. The first episode was really good and it's a shame to have to rely on fansubs to view the series.

In the update I'm sure you missed Latin America for Valvrave since the spanish site already confirm it will be available unless that was a lie...

So, Valvrave the Liberator will not be available in Latin America? D8 because in the spanish site says that it will be or you just forgot to add Latin America in this update?

Don't read to much into it ... when it says "also included" here, that is not commenting on other regions.

Indeed, it could be different amendments, since the Spanish news normally waits until Spanish subtitle rights are granted .

I wouldn't worry about it ~ Daisuki announced North and South America and South Africa for Valvrave, but not Europe ... so the Latin American rights and the European rights were probably two different amendments. And since landing Spanish language rights for Latin American require sorting out the Spanish subtitling, its not surprise if getting everything squared away for the Latin American stream takes an extra day or two.

Daisuki I'm watching killLakill there but as soon as CR will start stream it for my country I'll be doing it here. Their player with automatic quality adjust just doesn't work as it should. Quality of voice and picture constantly changes and in some parts of episode is just unacceptable, because they use hard subs, which are hard to read in low picture quality. There is also their yt canal but it seems that they post episodes there with big delay.
