I love it! It's exactly what I thought it would be - though much cuter!

The characters remind me of A-Channel for some reason. Especially Hotaru, who kind of reminds me of Yuko. Seems like another great light-hearted show. The kind of show I always look forward to ending a long Monday to!

I actually loved it! What's scary is that I did move to the country when I was a teenager during my parents divorce to live with family and felt the same way. So I'll be looking forward to her misadventures in the country!

It was cute, but slow paced. Kina like the country! ;)
I'll give it another episode or two.

Aww, an even littler Chiaki Minami.

I liked the art, in a way it reminded me a lot of the farmland we have here in Pennsylvania.

I'm in love with this series already.

Hotaur's innocence about the country was so cute. "Oh that's my key..." "Do you guys have keys?" "I dont even know what a lock looks like.." *everyone stares at Hotaru* "You're unusual."

xD SO CUTE!!

When I was in high school, I lived in southern Kentucky. My school had all of 10 kids, I graduated with two others... and locks didn't exist except on the post office door, which was above the school. :P

If I ever get sucked into an anime, I want to land in this anime. I'd love it.

The bus scene was what cracked me up. I had that same thing happen to me. I lived in Puerto Rico waaaaaaaay out in the styx and God forbid you missed the bus (which was a van going up the mountain..). I'd see it leave and start to cry because if it was the 5 pm bus you were stuck in town because no other buses left the town into the country until the morning. And if you were going INTO town you'd be waiting an hour or two (or someone took pity and drove you down in their own cars.. but that was very rare).

The keys thing also cracked me up because I'd lock the doors when I was home. I friggin' grew up in the ghetto part of Philly and you wouldn't dare shut your doors.. so when I went to the mountains I did that even if I was home. They'd just explain everything I did (which they considered odd) as "Oh .. The American is home" Because everyone left their doors open all day into the night. The only time you saw doors closed were during hurricanes.. We had exactly one "convenience" store which was a one room shop with a window on it that sold some stuff they got from the town. And most of the perishables were sold well before 8 am anyway :p Took about 45 minutes by car to get down to town where the shopping was. And when it rained you ran up the mountain to get above the clouds.. The little school up the hill had about 10 students total (though I took a bus to the city to go to school that year) but that only went up to 9th grade. So yeah I love this anime.

LOL.. I moved to Kentucky when I was 15 and I couldnt understand half of what they said either, until I ended up talking like them; which took about 2 weeks. I pick up accents like crazy. Also lol at "the American is home." xD

Town I am living in right now, only the shops lock up at night. I leave my front door open (has a storm door on it), I leave my keys in my car unlocked... I don't think my grandparents house was ever locked unless they were going away for the day. But I lived in the city too, and if you left your house unlocked you were asking to get robbed... though I still left me keys in my car a lot.

As for the bus thing, when I lived in KY, we didn't even have a bus... you had to drive there, or walk (which I did once, took about 3 hours lol).

Giggles I was 15 as well Though I went into a "clan" of all extended family so they all wanted to talk to me (and presumably siphon divorce gossip ) so I didn't have the option of not talking to the neighbors. I also started school up pretty quickly because they started back up in August and I arrived in late June (after my school year finshed).. so that summer sucked

LOL with how long it took to walk if you missed (er.. never had a bus). I tried doing that once when we missed the last bus.. omg that was torture.. it's all uphill (as in at one point you can turn around and see the town behind you below the clouds - which btw is totally cool lookin') and of course they turn around and stare at the "American" (I'm Puerto Rican too but born in the USA which excommunicates me at birth ) and say derisive things like "what.. city girl can't walk?".. I did get rescued though which was funny.. then I got the pissed off looks of "wait you get rescued at the 1 mile marker and we have to walk all the way home when WE miss the bus?"

Funny though that in the anime they didn't walk either but sat patiently (presumably for the 2 hours). I would have walked because there's nothing else to do up there anyway!

The other thing I loved about the characters is that the "little" girl REALLY IS little.. she's 6 years old so her naive fits with her age. Not some moe ingenue with no brains. It actually fits.

Yeah I loved that about the little girl too.. she wasn't pedo-bait... "she's really 18, no, seriously!" I get tired of that excuse.

And it had yuri.. cant forget about the rather obvious undertone with Hotaru squeeing over Komari. lol I kept expecting them to end the show with her figuring out who she was with. xD

This show is quite emotionally relaxing compared to the roller coaster that Golden Time will probably end up being. Also I think the viewers implying a yuri undertone may need to readjust their radars , I suspect it's more of a hero worship type setup than anything more adult. Remember she's in 5th grade so that would put her at about 10-11 years old, seems that idolization is all that's happening.

Another fun peaceful episode. Really good but it didn't quite knock my socks off like the first one.
