so that's why i couldn't log into the iOS app this morning before work.

this has been a long time coming and so far, it's pretty, but there's still a lot of work that needs to be done.

first off, there was no notification that my EVS was cancelled, and that'd i'd have to re-join. after checking out the help link and browsing through the known issues, i found a statement about lost subscriptions and that you need to re-join through the new shop. at least they're running a 2-for-1 deal so that lessened the pain.

between going from the main site to the shop, you have to log in again. also when you attempt to view a mature rated video and are not logged in, attempting to log-in from that page redirects you back to the home page once logged in.

the iOS app was also updated today to v2.4.748 with "defects fixes, security enhancements, and more content." there's currently a known login issue that Funi's working with their app developer to fix. the show index and the main app screen don't load with server errors, however you can still access the videos list.

did anyone watch Rojas' site revamp video? other that it looking like he was reading cue cards, it sounds like this "first look" is intended to be a beta. the wording he used at the end, "while we prepare for the premiere of our new site," while asking for testing and feedback.

Since the redesign went into effect their Roku app has been borked. No series has more than four episodes available, even after I reset my password.

And I still don't see any signs they made their queue useable.

Not sure if you have already, but posting that on Funi's forums is sure to be more effective.

And I'm not surprised this is still "beta" (the previous site had that tag for about two years), which is probably also the reason there haven't been too many mass emails about the relaunch yet.

Same for me as well. Even renewed my subscription and yet every series still only has four episodes. I can watch episodes on their website just fine since the renewal, but since my computer is a little slow I'd rather use Roku. Hopefully when they get the app straightened out we'll also be able to fully watch series that are over 50 episodes.

Well I've been waiting about 12 hours now for them to email me a new password. Too bad since I was thinking about re-subscribing I think I'll just fansub any new titles they get, sick of that stupid company.

I was kidding about re-subscribing. I hate Funimation, they're a garbage company who have always sold over-priced crappy dubs and have no business trying to run a streaming service without devoting the money and manpower to not doing a half-assed job at it.

And of course I check my freaking junk mail folder. I didn't get any emails from them until 4 AM this morning. And it still isn't working right because the email with my new password isn't being sent, instead I get more emails with a link telling me to change my password.

Did you use the "Forgot password" form and check your spam/junk mail folder? That initial email will remind you of your username, and contains a link to reset your password, which generates a second email.

The new video player is way better. You can switch between dub/sub instantly and you can go to any episode you want while watch an episode instead of only being able to go to the next.

Well that's annoying. I've been a paying member at Funi for a while now but suddenly I'm not considered an Elite subscriber and have to put up with weird Russian ads for bottled water three or four time an episode.

Yea this really pissed me off I'm already frustrated because of the lag before and now they force me to change my password... But they are having issues with all hotmail accounts. So, sounds to be like the robot is being blocked. Who knows now when i'll be able to access a site i pay for each month... and they don't care no refunds but with this issue they should fix it and depending on how long it takes shouldn't charge those for this month's access. We pay for a service we aren't getting. I can stream stuff on their site faster on free sites and the quality is about the same... so this new site i was hoping would fix the streaming but i'll have to wait who knows how long just to find out... see this is one reason why pay for something that steams slower than the free sites? I do it to support the industry but its getting old.

Yeah, Funi is still a North American focused company, so I don't know why you would expect that to change with a site update.

I'm not expecting anything from FUNI.
Though it would be nice if they could just focus solely on releasing dvds and blurays, and let someone like CR that can actually stream outside of NA get all their animes.

It was annoying having to re-subscribe, but I like the design layout better. I had several moments where Freezing episode 1 had to buffer. Almost got through all of Unbreakable Machine Doll without 1 buffer, but it still happened then. We shall see how things go as time progresses.
