The new video player is way better. You can switch between dub/sub instantly and you can go to any episode you want while watch an episode instead of only being able to go to the next.

I'm curious if that bar remained at the bottom of the screen for you while in full screen mode. TheCoffeeGod reported that was his experience using Chrome, and when I tested it out in Firefox, I got the same result.

I'm indifferent to what it looks like. As long as I can access series easier, I'm good.

Well I've been waiting about 12 hours now for them to email me a new password. Too bad since I was thinking about re-subscribing I think I'll just fansub any new titles they get, sick of that stupid company.

*edit*
I was kidding about re-subscribing. I hate Funimation, they're a garbage company who have always sold over-priced crappy dubs and have no business trying to run a streaming service without devoting the money and manpower to not doing a half-assed job at it.

And of course I check my freaking junk mail folder. I didn't get any emails from them until 4 AM this morning. And it still isn't working right because the email with my new password isn't being sent, instead I get more emails with a link telling me to change my password.

Compared to companies like Sentai, Funimation is a great company. You think 30 bucks for a DVD/Blu Ray set is overpriced? I do think they should fire their damn website designer, though.

Well, I did finally get my password and got in BUT just wow they added adds i was going to watch an episode this episode is 45mins long and there was 7 adds i had to watch to finish my episode. If the adds stay I'm done with Funimation. Hulu did that and i stopped my subscription to them as well. This is the only site that rewards you by no adds when you join... Funimation's site did get faster on clicking between pages, etc. and the steaming seems to be better, but if they adds that many adds to just one f'n episode then thats just stupid and everyone should drop their memebership to show them. I HATE ADDS. Hell i'll pay more take the damn adds away i'll pay an extra $1 or so. damn whoever came up with that idea just sold it to them showing the profits they would make but you take in count all the memberships they will loose because of this and they will loose money in the end... they are testing this it says so we need to bitch as much as possible to make them not go with this.

The new site seems like an improvement, but it's all pointless since they are still making their videos look horrible by converting the colors to computer RGB...

Correction.
I'm using IE9.
And the annoying offending bar in question: http://imageshack.us/a/img5/8759/fjw1.jpg

That being said, I get severe lag going to a series page.
It actually locks up for a full 8-10 seconds loading a series page.
Clicking on the Videos tab on a series page also locks it for a full 9 seconds.
Clicking the About tab is even worse, that locks it up for a full 12 seconds.

yea i use firefox and the only good thing about the website now if that i can click around before this update i was like you took 10-15sec to click on anything and the steaming i would have to stop and let buffer over and over and i can watch on free site just fine and the quality is sadly the same. The need to fire the web designer and pretty much their whole team that works on it... they are all horrible.

My Elite still works, knock on wood...

Password change took a few tries.

Bar at bottom is stuck on all the time... video otherwise better streaming and controls.

So not great but Freezing Vibration, Machine Doll and Tokyo Ravens in HD legally is stilll good for me. Not sure about BlazBlue yet.

If you are getting ads you'll probably find that your Elite subscription is no longer active. That will certainly be true if you were paying for it via PayPal.

I've also seen users reporting that even after re-subscribing, their account wasn't recognized as Elite. (You can verify that by attempting to watch a video that is marked Elite only).

Best way is to go to your profile, account, elite subscription settings and look for the grey stripe with SUBSCRIBER:

I tried to watch video at the site and ended up with lots of spinning icons and buffering issues. Waited one day and watched the same videos on hulu's site zero issues. So as long as Funimation puts videos on hulu i will NEVER use the site to view videos due to the same player issues it had before the remake.

also some items still do not appear correctly on web pages for the site as well.

Do you still get ads on the shows that are marked only for Elite members?

I recall in the past that if I tried to watch a simulcast too soon after it was released, I would get the same video (including ads) as someone viewing it for free would, but viewing it later would result in 720p (if available for that series) and no ads.
