What is this "love" you speak of?

Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, don't hurt me no more.

I think obsession can be healthy if its kept in check. Although, I'm talking more about the obsession with things like knowledge instead of other people. Obsession with other people is unhealthy. And boring.

Love is about giving. Obsession is about taking.

It's weird that that looking at this thread all I can think of is the domino theory

Probably the lack of response in the person they obsess with. The person really has to use their voice and tell them if they're either

A. Crossing the line
B. Not wanted in that way
C. Making them uncomfortable

People who obsess don't understand rejection they just think that they're "meant" for one another. No matter what. The signs include:

A. Not willing to stop communication/ smothering
B. Bringing up things you have never told this person about
C. Asking very personal questions

It's never enough to be polite and say no either you have to show them the worst person ever.

I feel this way too, although unlike other people have said...I never see any warning signs...and I usually don't realize the persons obsession until months down the road when I'm already in too deep to simply cut all ties and never see them again :/ so then I just spend even longer trying to break away from the person nicely. I care too much about hurting people to simply drop someone even if I know they're crazy. It sucks.

So, either I just am terrible at sensing that people are crazy or I always wind up with the ones who are extremely good at faking it until they crack and go full blown psycho on me, because it seems I always wind up with the type who try hard to come off as distant or cold for a long time but the second I start to stray it's like full on possession of me and that's when my brain goes "aha so you HAVE found another crazy one." lmfao.

A kid's puppy love is nothing but idealized misconceptions. You're in love with the idea of love.

That first love you guys fantasizing about isn't so perfect. Your first love, Selena Gomez, picks her noses and pisses and even farts!
Even your Justin Beiber has hairy legs and scratches his ass. Sometimes he even sniffs his finger.
