Just got done watching the Simulcast. I'm not a player of the games (although maybe I should change that soon), so I don't know much about the plot to this season. I do know this: I'm a big fan of this kind of story line. Riki's got to get his head on straight and confess to the one he REALLY loves.

I really like how this episode was executed. Honestly this route confused me when I was playing the game, and Rin was barely a factor in it. This anime is going to give me much more insight to Kurugaya on a personal level.

I just don't like how it seemed like Rikki was forced to love her. Mio's ghastly intervention felt forced too.

She mentions ghosts and all the girls flip up and run away leading to Rikki and Kurukaya being alone.

I agree with Cloaked, in the VN although it takes Riki a while to admit it he does say it himself. However, this episode the guys were like "You love Kurugaya?" "Of course you do" and then proceed instantly with the plan and it seemed a little forced especially given the little interaction between Kurugaya and Riki.

I think where Mio scares them all off is to try and at least recreate the scene from the VN to some extent. Because it's quite an important scene for the Kurugaya route and if all the girls were there it couldn't happen.

Also they skipped the confession simulation where the boys try to teach Rikki how to confess.

It's a shame but the way JC Staff is doing the adaptation there isn't much ground to plow the relationship with Kurugaya... and as Rin will be the "gran finale" it would be some awkward to reproduce correctly the Kurugaya route entirely.

To tell the truth I think that an adaptation made by KyoAni should be more smooth only by taking CLANNAD, AIR and KANON as reference.

Hope they think seriously by doing the REWRITE adaptation some day, even finishing only one route the impression was huge.

Hey there!

Personally I felt like that staff was working their hardest to emulate Clannad's format with the openers, enders, and format, but maybe that's just because the source material is so similar in itself. But now that you mention it, they are making the secret of the world business more obvious than it was in the visual novel. Or maybe that's just me.

Also I really need to get on Rewrite, but Pokemon Y has been absorbing my entire week.. It's been a week now, but the adventure's felt like forever!
