For anyone who has watched this consistently you know enough about the series that this first part isn't necessary. For everyone else, yea... Its not a great anime by any means, but I do enjoy it. Sadly, this happened to be my first Saint Seiya. I say sadly because i watched Lost Canvas after this and cried, i cried for days and days, and my soul continues to weep.

But enough about the best anime i've watched in years, lets get back to Omega. For those who haven't watched it, its a very simplistic show about super powered children fighting the "ultimate" darkness. I've actually really enjoyed it, I like the art style which is like another show that i like called casshern sins, and I like most of the characters. The first season left a good impression on me, even with all the plot holes, which are many if you pay attention. Anywho, lets move onto season 2.

SPOILERS!

This is more or less to converse ideas with anyone who actually cares enough at this point.

Subaru is now a full fleged saint, wielding darkness cosmo. Everyones freaking out about this, not because its darkness, darkness was shown to be one of the... 7 elements that saints could embody. That thing that they haven't touched on in a long long time. They are freaking out because this inexperienced Steel Saint, has cosmo matching those of the original Saints in this series, who fought their way through gold saints and gods.

My own personal theory for this is that Subaru is Chronos, the Titan.

In the opening sequence you can plainly see a 5th "Pallasite King" standing behind them, looking way more important than Pallas or the four kings. His hair is blue and his eyes glowing red, like Subaru's has multiple times. While many have said hes Hades, I disagree with this.

Its clear that the 4 kings are this God/Titans minions, so their abilities should be more reminiscent of their masters power. Hades had his specters whom had powers based in death and destruction.

The 4 kings seem to have powers based in Time, as do most of the lower level flunkies who use their Chronotector armor to steal time from mortals. This armor that all of the pallasites use also clearly carry his name sake.

So going back into my Theory, it feels like Pallas, Athenas sister who is draining her powers, is going to be sacrificed soon. The recent episode foreshadowed the 4 kings betraying her, at least in my belief. I believe they are going to use the power of Pallas, and the time they have stolen from others to age and strengthen subaru into his full Chronos form. With the Equuleus Cloth transforming into his full armor. I don't think this will end in this season, this seems more like something they are slowly working up towards for next season. Pallas will fall in the final moments of this one, and Chronos Subaru will decimate the Saints and become the "unstoppable" evil for the next season.

I've been a fan of Saint Seiya since the mid to late 1980s and you are right, Omega isn't great but it's mostly fun. Of the non Kurumada Masami Saint Seiya interpretations, Lost Canvas is excellent.

Lost Canvas is gorgeous. I put Omega on hold at Ep.61. Steel Saints?! that kid is as bad as Scrappy Doo and his name is Subaru and punches w/both fists at the end of his transformation scene and they look like headlights. -.- oi! I just couldn't watch it anymore. same reason why I can't watch Scooby Doo anymore.

He has new less bad looking armor, and most of the steel saints are dead.
