What's your favorite gun and will it be effective in a zombie senario?

I'm experienced with: AG3, HK416, P80, MP5, MSG90, and 12.7 (Barret).

Since I would most likely be in urban areas and would have to remain mobile I would go with the MP5. It's light weight, has low recoil, a short barrel for moving indoors, high capacity magazines aren't rare to come by, and ammunition is light weight (9mm) too so extra ammunition can be carried (Where I could only keep forty 7.62 rounds I can keep sixty or ninety 9mm rounds). Even though it comes with full auto I would use semi-automatic to preserve ammunition.

Flintlock duelling pistols. And no, they would not be very helpful.

Hmm the Ruger 1911 is my favorite, it looks like a WW2 handgun. Would probably be a decent apocalypse handgun. Good accuracy and damage, easy to keep maintained.

Gun is in the spoilers.

i don't really have a fav, in games a good shotgun seems to work great so i would say any solid pump action would suit me fine

photon laser. still technically counts as a gun and it would be super useful against zombies because it disintegrates things

Pistol: Sig Sauer P229 Elite. Holds 12+1 .40 Cal/.357 SW. Not the best weapon out there, but best pistol in my opinion. Wouldn't recommend it for people with small children though since there is absolutely no safety other than using your brain and practicing good firearm safety. Probably the best pistol out there for a zombie apocalypse because you don't have to worry about a safety though. Plus, the caliber is extremely easy to find.

Rifle: Anything HK really. They're built really well, the ammo is really easy to find, and don't jam as easily as an AR (which stands for Armalite, not assault rifle).

Shotgun: There's a reason why the military stuck with the Mossberg 500. The recoil isn't bad at all, it's light, and you're not looking at all if you can't find 12 gauge shells.

Machine gun: The M240B. It's just pure fun and I've yet to have one jam on me.

Pistol M1911 .45 cal good stopping power

Rifle going to go with what I know the M4 good light weight weapon also like the 3 round burst so you don't burn through your ammo to fast

Machine gun well if I have to carry it you can't beat the M240 if I don't have to carry it I am going with Ma Duace the M2 50 cal there is a reason it's been in service for almost a 100 years When Ma Duace talks you better listen

Silenced Semi-Automatic Pistols (2 obviously)....
Or a double-barreled blunderbuss(probably doesn't exsist)... not because it's useful (I would die after I ran out of my 2 shots), just because that would be freaking awesome

Favourite 'Gun':

Patriotic: The 'Inglis' (A Canadian household appliance maker) version of the FN GP-35. Also known as the Browning Hi-power. And still the issue sidearm today.

User Friendly: My five inch, Smith and Wesson Police Special. It had a butter smooth trigger pull even in double action and despite being a 'wheelgun' was my favourite for target shooting and IPSC. It was just a joy to shoot.

For Zombies:

One Stop Shopping: for the longest while as The Ukraine financed itself by selling off war stores left behind by the soviets old soviet rifles and carbines and ammo were dirt cheap. you could get an SKS carbine. short, semi -auto but reasonably accurate and thousands of rounds of 7.62 Russian (short) in one package. cheap.

there you have it, your zombie survival kit in a box.

Going by the world war z model.

You want something accurate enough to make headshot. (the further away the better). powerful enough to penetrate. light enough that you could carry it and a LOT of ammo all day.

I'd reccomend something like the SKS, the M1 carbine, The Rugar Mini-14 etc.

But would you mount a scope on it?
