What's your favorite gun and will it be effective in a zombie senario?

Shotgun, Benelli w/ comfortech recoil reduction. And no, it won't help.

Zombies spread by disease will infect us all regardless of shooting them.

Zombies that dig their way out of their own graves will overwhelm us through numbers. Errr, I mean because: magic.

Pistol M1911 .45 cal good stopping power

Rifle going to go with what I know the M4 good light weight weapon also like the 3 round burst so you don't burn through your ammo to fast

Machine gun well if I have to carry it you can't beat the M240 if I don't have to carry it I am going with Ma Duace the M2 50 cal there is a reason it's been in service for almost a 100 years When Ma Duace talks you better listen

But would you mount a scope on it?

which one the 50 cal? naw for sniper work I would go with the Barrett M82 .50 cal they are getting one mile kill shots in Afghanistan with these puppys

A Canadian soldier recently set the record for longest shot a few years back. I don't know if it still stands. I'm pretty sure he was using an anti-material rifle of some sort.

I don't remember the exact rifle, but it was a 7.62.

The more impressive thing was the shooter didn't even see the target in the scope. He had to take into account the crosswinds and ended up aiming the reticle up and right by over 2 ft.

I'm not gonna lie, that was pretty cool. My favorite story though is the Apache's shot through the scope. That's impressive.

Well I'm biased towards the Canadian soldier one. It seems part of the Canadian identity is fighting for acknowledgement of our existence. Especially from our "closest neighbour and largest trading partner".

Thanks for the love. It's appreciated. ... We're friendly to a point. When we decide to get .. unfriendly. Well Patton thought we were the best Troops that Montgomery had. Though ... calling us American is like calling a Scotsman, English.

Something with a silencer, a handgun or smg cuz aren't zombies alerted by loud noise?
...and if shit gets real an AK-47 is an excellent choice, it's a very reliable weapon that can be buried in mud and still fire without the need to be cleaned, survivalist to the max!
