Houston Texans fans cheered when quarterback Matt Schaub injured his lower leg during Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams. The cheering has been criticized by other Texans players and by sports media.

What are your thoughts on this incident? Do you think what the fans did was wrong and disrespectful?

Seems like an easy answer to me. You wouldn't cheer for someone getting injured in the workplace or if a performer got hurt on stage. The NFL is both of those things, so I don't see how cheering for someone getting hurt on the job during a performance could possibly be anything other than wrong, disrespectful, mean and shameful.

I'm a native Houstonian as well as a Texans fan and have been since Bob McNair brought/bought an NFL team back to Houston, and what occurred Sunday was shameful. Anyone whom would cheer for ANY player in ANY sport being injured is classless... to do so when it's a member of a team you're a supposed "fan" of is beyond reprehensible. The team and city deserve better than that.

It was a very poor distasteful showing from some of their fan base. Yates came in and threw a "Schaub" (pick6) so all that can be said is karma

Yeah, I saw this on ESPN earlier. It just wasn't right what the fans did. Put simply, no one should ever get happy and cheer when someone gets hurt.

Not surprised. It's Texas we're talking about. I've lived there before. I swear the heat gets to their head.

Makes me feel for the guy. I wouldn't want Phillip Rivers to get hurt just because he threw a few pic six's in pass few games.

I thought you had to be from Philadelphia to do things like that at sporting events.

Unlike some of you I'm not gonna condemn an entire state for a few hundred morons at a Texans game.
