i never liked one piece stopped 15 times watching that show. i cant get past episode 5 its boring as hell, so a couple of times i skipped to episodes 60, 130, 170, 427, 500 but they were always boring. i even ask my friends to recommened me the best episodes on the show but it never got me interested. tho i like naruto and bleach way way more than one piece, naruto and bleach isn't even on my list of top 200 best anime/manga.

the only problem with naruto and bleach were the fillers if they just maybe went on hitaus for 3 months or something then they wouldn't recieve so much hate, look at fairy tail, they got really close to the manga so they decided to delay the new episodes and let the manga get a little farther and did reruns, tho calling it fairy tail best is somewhat ridiculous to me

I grew up on bleach more then the other two. But when Naruto was getting more loved I started watching that. I feel like whichever you watch first is going to appeal to you. In that case Bleach is better to me.

I mean its because u never gave it time, its not like naruto and bleach where the whole story can be told from one episode. one piece is all about the whole series not from just 1 episode. you gotta have feelings for all the episode from the first episode. i know i dont make sence because u wouldnt understand what one piece is about anyways if u just skip and watch one episode that your friends recommended to u. lol

I use to be crazy about Bleach and Naruto but I rather enjoy One Piece instead. I find One Piece more interesting than Bleach, Naruto, AND(if I may add) Fairy Tail combined.

Right now the big 3 doesn't seem to be Naruto Bleach and One Piece anymore.

If you monitor the discussion in 2ch (well maybe not), or if you simply observe the trend of recent rankings.

One Piece still stays on top for the teenager (defined as age from 14 to 18), while Naruto and Bleach suffers significantly. It's pretty simple to understand really. One Piece's story has been developped way before it was drawn. The character design might not be complete, but there's an simple layout already. That's the main reason why One Piece has a more complete storyline with plot points connected together. Some of the plot point mentioned before was referenced again after 20 volumes (Equivalent to 5 years of time). It really strengthen the existing fan base because fans tend to take the story more seriously when they know that a simple plot point could be mentioned and polished again in later stories.

The characters are typical with minor twists. They are charismatic and lovable and therefore the jokes often write themselves. The story arc focuses more on the emotion aspect rather than power ups, which is what gets Naruto and Bleach popular in the first place. However, Bleach's character becomes forgetable after the first story arc, Naruto recycles its characters so much so that it relies on the development of Naruto to keep the ratings at the beginning of Shippuden, basically put, Naruto and Bleach starts to rely on powerups and old characters to make the story more entertaining while One Piece tries to deliver variety.

However One Piece fails the ratings at various story arcs, and one can always argue that it only gets popular because HxH isn't in competition.and if Attack of the Titans is published in Jump as it intended to be, then the Big 3 will no longer exist.

You have asked the wrong question, which is the main reason why you aren't enjoying any long series.

With that being said, you may develop a false superiority over the fact that something others enjoy isn't even in your list of top 200 best anime/manga. However, it only makes you look like an asshole that's all.

if you don't enjoy something, then move on. If you are too impatient for an entertainment that last longer than 20 minutes, then move on, it's not anyone's fault that you have to get emotionally attached to an anime within 20 minutes, or else you would skip until the end, isn't it

Like i said before i skipped episodes to see if it was worth watching I started watching it from ground up on episode 1 in 2007 but I never got passed episode 5 because it's too boring for me and it wasn't until around 2009 that i tried to watch the how again but it was still boring to me but people were liking the show so i thought i tried skiping some episodes to see if the show was that good or to the most recent episodes, I gave the show all the time it could give me but it just doesn't make me want to keep watching it. this is my opinion on the show you guys can watch the show and forget about me. but as i see it the show isn't for me.

You are really an idiot aren't you? I never said once that everyone who liked one piece had some sort of low superiority or any thing negative towards the people who enjoy one piece. I stated my opinion about one piece not being my type of anime. As for my top 200 ranking anime that also is my opinion everyone has their own ranking of their likes and dislikes. I have not even once said something like "I don't understand why everybody likes this piece of garbage" or something by that line. The only one who seemed like an asshole that I have encountered today is no other than you.

If you don't enjoy someones opinion, move on. If you don't like anyone who has a different opinion than you do then move on. If your too emotionally attached to an anime you like but encountered someone who doesn't move on. Next time read and think before you post something stupid

Seen 2 random episodes of One Piece
Seen a few dozen early (but not beginning) episodes of Naruto
Seen about 2-3 seasons of bleach (but may have missed some episodes in between)

Anyways, I do appreciate longer running animes, BUT, at some point it becomes pointless!

I can't really get all that hyped about the so called big 3

FMA: Brotherhood was a longer running series, but it had the sense to finish and not be drawn out!

I will never understand the appeal of the so called Big 3

I would rather watch BIG O

I stopped watching Bleach like waaay before it got canceled. However I can tell you simply, One Piece has 2 specific advantages over Naruto.

1. Story
2. Pacing

1. Both series have great characters with unique personalities and well written back grounds. However where Naruto's problem lies is, that it has a rather simple plot while trying to make complicated stories for all the characters. The whole plot really just follows Naruto trying to get Sasuke back, but then you have Naruto gaining new powers, Sasuke wanting to kill Itachi, Sasuke wanting to kill everybody, Sasuke not knowing what he wants, giant Ninja war. It becomes hard to follow Naruto even though the story in itself is quite simple.

One Piece on the other hand has simple characters with simple stories, and the overarching plot is simple. Plot = Find One Piece and make your dreams come true. Then this plot is always separated into smaller arcs where the characters inch closer to their goals. The characters do grow some, they get more powerful, but they remain the same lovable characters you know. I think the big thing though is, while Naruto is essentially about solving a problem, One Piece is about going on an adventure. Everything in One Piece is like something out of a fairy tale almost, and I really think that appeals to a lot of people.

2. Pacing, this is where Bleach and Naruto fall far behind One Piece. One thing I noticed about Bleach and Naruto is they very often had these long drawn out fights that focused not on HOW a character uses their power, but on WHAT power a character uses. So they had looong ass fights with a lot of exposition. It really felt dragged out, and the current arc in Naruto feels the same way. You have like a lot of people fighting for a really long time and a lot of the episode becomes exposition. Ah yes, also way too many flashbacks.

One Piece on the other hand, always has something new happen in each episode. Meaning that single battles in One Piece, often don't last for more than maybe and episode or two. They may not resolve the battle, but they will definitely change the situation.

There is also one VERY important thing as far as pacing goes. One Piece knows how to do fillers. Naruto puts fillers where ever it can, it sticks fillers in the middle of a canon arcs, it does 2-3 filler arcs in a row at times. I'd say the majority of the anime is fillers. One Piece on the other hand does something different. 1) It wastes about 3 extra minutes of time with an intro / recap. So each episode is actually about 3 minutes shorter than the typical anime, this is kind of a sneaky way to keep up its pacing, but it works if you ask me. It allows One Piece to give you full uninterrupted story for the rest of the episode. 2) It has exactly one short filler arc between canon arcs. Its filler arcs usually have the same quality of story as its canon arc as well.

TL;DR : Personally, I think One Piece is just easier to follow than Naruto. It's easier to be entertained by any single One Piece episode than it is by any single Naruto episode.

The same can be said to you, if you can't handle anybody's opinion about your opinion, then you shouldn't even post your opinion in the first place.

Sure I was being an asshole, I like to play an asshole in front of an asshole. That's the whole point of it.

One Piece doesn't try to be cool. It has cool moments.

One Piece doesn't try to be serious. Serious stuff happens.

One Piece is FUN at the very center. Bleach and Naruto, naaah.
