Both Naruto and Bleach have too much of a "teen-drama" quality.

My rant =

One Piece - "used" to be my die-hard. But recently, the anime's animation quality really sucks ass. It makes me think whether or not this is befitting of the most popular franchise in Japan, if it is, why put out this crappy animation which consists of many still shots where the character just stands there and the lips is moving, and the action scene consists of one or two punches and the opponents fly, and vice versa. Lastly but not least.....Luffy is starting to get on my nerves with all that "protecting" crap when he can't even take out the snow bird woman, while Zoro barely even tries. It makes me wonder whether or not the 2 years he spend training or laughing his ass off at the most random thing ever.

Naruto - Liked it, then disliked it, and now a little dislike it. To be honest, Naruto sucks, and I'm talking about the character. I never thought one person could be so obsessed with wanting to sodomized Sasuke in the butt like this guy. He chases him like his life depends on it. And the talk about bringing all the "hate" onto him and cure the world of "hatred" and enduring all the world's "hate"........this kid........someone kill him already. -_- Like that would happen.

Bleach - never really liked the show because of the damsel in distress signal - aka Orihime. That's the only reason I gave up actually. Just couldn't stand her high pitched squealing and putting everyone else in danger. -_-

I watch none of them...never liked "mainstream" anime^^ but my brother loves naruto and One piece (I know he got tired of bleach and dropped it)......I would say, by the way he expresses himself when talking about the anime, that he prefers One piece but I'll ask him why....he told me once that the reason why he likes One piece is because the story of the characters is touching and the anime as a whole is very intense and funny...

Does naruto really wants to sodomize Sasuke or is it just your assumption? while my brother is very open minded and he loves Naruto, he never said anything like that about Naruto...I'm a fan of yaoi, I know he would tell me if there was something gay about the show so I could watch it. I think you're just exaggerating here and using the wrong words. Maybe Naruto just wants to have his friend back and save him from becoming someone else or losing himself (yep, my brother rants a lot about naruto too ) that's friendship and not sodomy. Seriously...

I never was too big on Bleach. I liked the very beginning, which was kind of like Yu Yu Hakusho with the whole spirit detective setup, but then it went to the Soul Society and I just lost interest.

Naruto I think is better, it has a good structure to it, a well-meaning nature and the fights can be pretty cool.

One Piece is just a really great adventure... so many wonderful memories. I love the carefree atmosphere, it's just really charming and fun.

Honestly, One Piece is the only one that's still good in my opinion. I'm really enjoying the current arc and the series still has lots of potential

Naruto - I liked the recent twist they threw in, but the nonsense we had to go to in order to get to it....ugh. I get why this is the other long running shonen besides One Piece that is considered the best by many of the more analytical fans (It's very serious, and talks about broad themes like 'hatred' and 'vengeance') but the Shinobi War has been so long and uninteresting that it's difficult to stay invested. I mean, if you're going to make an arc that long, at least make it a bit more complicated and unpredictable (E.G, the Chimera Ant arc in Hunter x Hunter)

Bleach - Yeah, should have ended at the Aizen fight, the Fullbringers and the Quincies do nothing for me as villains. The Soul Society arc was good, as was the Arrancar arc at first, but the series lost me a while back. I'm fine with shonen cliches and formulas, but when your show is practically built on them, you have a problem.

I mean sure, I'll admit that One Piece took a bit too long to build up steam after the timeskip, but now that it has I'm hooked. All three series' have their flaws, but One Piece is the one where they bother me the least. Maybe that's just favouritism, I dunno. All I know is that I'm still on board with it, which I can't really say for Naruto and Bleach.

No comment about Naruto and One Piece but I'll just highlight a huge problem with Bleach...

Tite Kubo simply sucks at fight scenes... which is kind of a sad thing for a battle manga. Bleach is a special move fest where characters waste whole chapters just to pose, act cool, and throw a special move only for it to be not effective and get a cliffhanger ending where the enemy/protag is now at the back of whoever threw the special move!

many many chapters of Bleach can be summarized like this:
protag: poses and talks
enemy: poses and talks back
protag attacks
enemy: "are you an idiot? I told you it's not gonna work! <insert special move here> pathetic!
protag appears behind enemy: it's my turn now!
chapter end...

then next chapter will follow the same pattern except it's the protags turn now to unleash a special move.... Zaraki vs. Nnoitra prime example <_<

And for a "sword" manga it hardly has any swordfighting at all LMAO!

Because One Piece is great. It has more of an open world feeling than Naruto and Bleach.

Thats a bump and a half. I don't know why One Piece has it better than the other two. Probably because it came out before them and is a little easy to jump inn at any time.

I got into Naruto first, Bleach second and stayed away from One Piece for a good while because of the 4kids dub. But one day I gave the Funimation dub a try and have been hooked ever sense. Also stopped following Naruto and Bleach for same reasons others have had. They just seemed to dropped the ball in quality while One Piece manages to maintain it's sense of fun. Which is really extraordinary considering how damn long it is.

While yes One Piece starts off more slowly then most other shows the trade off is that it pays off with it's climax WAY more emotionally satisfying then any other anime I've seen. While other anime's may have better action, animation or plots nothing really compares to the raw emotions One Piece evokes.

Most people who don't follow the show think it's mostly comedy and while it does have plenty of that. It's also true that I've never seen any other story,be it anime, books, movies or western t.v shows that have made SO many people cry so hard so repeatidly and consistantly. Game of Thrones or Attack on Titan may have shocking deaths that scare and upset fans but I've yet to see them evoke the same raw emotional heart breaking stream of tears One Piece does to it's fanbase.

If you skip whole arc's in One Piece your obviously going to miss out on what makes it so special. It's not like other shows that can "hook" you with a singe "Cool" or "Epic" episode. It gets you invested into the characters and story with time and makes the wait for while.

One Piece has the sense that everything fits into an overarching narrative. Oda seems to like dropping bits and pieces of the bigger story in each arc, and actions actually seem to impact the story. Each arc is very formulaic, but done in a method that takes time for the audience to care about introduced side characters and villains, and make sure the audience really hates the villains before they get a beat down delivered to them. And while new moves do get showcased in various fights, it's not the typical arse-pull escalation you see in other long running shounen.

On the other hand, Bleach and Naruto feel much more like smaller, independent story arcs that get slapped together with no sense of continuity or impact. Naruto does have some sense of theme and character development, but most of it seems very spur-of-the-moment plot twists and power escalation for the sake of sensationalism. Bleach is almost entirely sensationalism with little substance or impact. Both feel like stories that were originally intended to be much shorter, but got drawn out due to their popularity.

On top of all that, One Piece is a serious show that refuses to take itself seriously. It masterfully blends comedy, action, and drama in just enough doses to not wear the audience out. It also helps that the anime filler actually tries to follow much of the same plot formula as the main story arcs, so filler rarely feels quite as tedious, even if it still results in pointless side-tracking. Naruto and Bleach both take themselves more seriously, which puts more emphasis on plot impact to carry the show, eventually making filler and constant cliff-hangers/plot twists wear thin.

One Piece is a lot better done then Naruto and Bleach.

One Piece - Has a more care free comedy feel, but can also be super intense and sad. Every one of the main characters has such a sad past. They also have only one goal, and they're making their way to it now. One Piece isn't power up crazy like Bleach too which makes it more logical, and a lot of the fights are really well done.

Bleach - I really liked Bleach a lot, but there are a lot of problems with it. Ichigo powers up so much it just gets over done. I liked Bleach's story and the side characters like the gotei 13 captains and the vizards more. Bleach fillers are also really bad. They put those right in the middle of a non-filler arc. The Zanpakutou Rebellion arc is the only good filler. The final arc in the manga is just dragging on so long though. I really liked how the revealed stuff about Ichigo's mom and Zangetsu, but the fights and characters just appear all over the place. You can barely tell what's going on anymore.

Naruto - I never really watched Naruto, but I have friends that do. I heard Naruto fillers were also terrible, and stuff happened because of "magic".
