I find it pretty fun as something to just log on and play one or two matches on, but for longlivety I don't see it in my library. The main reason for this is that obtaining packs is pretty easy and collecting all the cards really dont take THAT long, not to mention that obtaining a rare card that you have no use for means its just gonna collect dust as a collection of sort, no trade function in the game kills it for me.

I'd much rather play Hex and have a ton more cards and trading aviable to me, despite that I love the Blizzard lore.

Anyone want to play :3?

Despite having all the blizzard games they never sent me a beta. I heard I had to check my spam folder because if you signed up by a day in December you would have gotten it, but now that it is open beta and all is in the past... I'm having a blast ><.

I got lucky with two packs from my daily gold/new person quest gold. I disenchanted a ranger card for 400 dust, but the other rare I got was a golden Lay of Hands :3. I had to switch to paladin because of it. I think I am addicted... Probably be nice with people I know though :3?

I'm so disappointed that there's absolutely no social aspect in the game. You cannot tell the opponent "good game" or say "good luck have fun" =( Even old blizzard games like StarCraft: BroodWar had a chatroom lobby to talk to people, I don't know what they are doing with this but they are disappointing me.

I like it. Online gaming allows for so much trash talk. I like the few emotes allowed. It reminds me of when I lost patience in League of Legends and asked people to just ping.

If you have an intense game - you can always see who you last played in your friend list and add them to say something, or can you not? I just know you can add. If you truly can't communicate then that sucks (zero person friendlist for most of my time in Blizzard games). I'm sure they'd add some kind of convenient function. I'd prefer they not add even "default chats" that are automatically joined as most blizzard games with them turn in to bots just friending you non stop*.

*I can't remember from D3, but the chats were optional, yes? And the moment you joined one you were spammed forever, yes?

Hells yeah I'm up to play.

Unfortunately, people with out the good cards are at such a disadvantage in Construted, not that that carries over to Arena or completely ruins the game.

My Warlock ends his games Fatigued with an Empty hand, having my last minion, usually the Yeti, on the board go up against a Ragnaros, Alexstraza, and Prophet Valen one by one.

It's still fun, and I'm up to play you guys

Well, as long as your not the ass who sits at 18 Ranked using your Geblin/Tyrion/Ragnaros/Facless Manip/Sea Giant very damn poorly, only to destroy me on the last turn.

I mean COME THE HELL ON! How can I deal with that? The best card I own is a Stormwind Champion, and he's a Default! Sure sure, I can use him pretty well, but I only have so many items!

It's like Playing a Warrior on wow, I got to have the cards to play Warrior....but noooooooooo. They gotta start throwing Legendary Paladins and Druids at me. I DON'T EVEN OWN A CARD CAPABLE OF SILENCE! WHY ARE THEY SO MEAN TO ME?

You're the first person I've seen who has come out and said that. There are so many people ragequitting and going hard on competitive when Blizzard reserves the right to completely scrap the game before it even makes it to launch.
"MAGES ARE OP! "
Yes, there are also a number of technical problems. That's why it's not a finished product!

Had to get that off my chest.

That said, Hearthstone is great. You can play it as little or as much as you want and the rewards are roughly equivalent (acquiring cards is about 80% luck, 20% dust). The F2P model works brilliantly here, and I am one who has always hated F2P. I liken it to an infinitely more user friendly Magic the Gathering Online that doesn't require you to sell your children off to science in order to play.
Even now, I feel that it's a pretty well-balanced game. I will be playing it for some time.

That is one of it's largest criticisms right now.

Despite the minor Technical problems that don't represent the classic "Blizzard Polish" and the numberous minor Balance issues they're slowly working out, the game is still out.

Open Beta? More like "EVERYBODY PLAY OUR GAME IT'S READY BUT IT'S STILL BETA SO THAT MEANS IT'S COOL!

They're currently charging Money for the game. Like, you have the option to spend your money on a Beta. That's not how beta's work. An open beta is where they release the unfinished and raw game, give you free rign to wreck the shit out of it, then fix it all up and release it.

This "Open Beta" is being HEAVILY advertised all around the net. It's an amazing game, but I was watching Hearthstone Video's 6 Months ago. After the first month, a lot of Youtubers stopped putting "Closed Beta" in the titles, because Hearthstone is everywhere.

I'm having fun with it, but outside it's "Open Beta" title the game is complete.

I believe in their other Betas, despite having purchased every game and every expansion I have never been invited to, they would give access to everything that was prepared. As this is a card game, I don't see the problem with allowing people to use the shop immediately though. Then again, I run Ysera and Ragnaros main deck, Bloodmage Thalnos which was from a free pack, and 5 good epics. Not afraid of witch hunting. I've played a pair of tournament card games and having spent less than $100 in this one compared to many several hundreds in other games. The price of varied deck building is extremely cheap without even detailing the players at the top of the ranks with free to play decks.

As for balancing - I would be against it if they didn't give dust at the craft cost of nerfed cards. In any other card game people would adapt and I was hesitant to jump into the game because I know of Blizzard's policy of making changes because the loud minority whines, but meh. I can play any class without anymore investment and plan to continue to have fun with it.

An edit instead of an extra post -

I really like Big Game Hunter. I got him in one of my last set of packs and in my first game I got his full use when a Mage played Rag.

Deleted the Druid deck list. I play both Shaman and Druid control at the mid to high craft cost.

I'd love to eventually get playtest partners. I just rotated out the generic Ancient Watcher + Sunfury Protector + Twilight Drake tools from my deck. Today feels like a mage day and they've been wasting their polymorphs turns right before I play Ysera (planned). I gave up playing more for the day as I am not running into aggro to see if my new lack of taunters will be a problem, but yeah - if you want friendly games or need practice against Druids feel free to drop a message.

YEAAAAAAAAAAH. Running a Warrior Control Deck on a budget.

Problems include a lack of good 3's, as Frothing Berserker is nigh unobtainable for me, and I prioritized my dust on Arathi Weaponsmith's.

I have troubles against shamans, as that Totem spam either eats up weapon charges, wastes minion damage, or murders me through various buffs.

I mean, CAN WARRIORS GET SOME REMOVAL? Sure sure, Execute is 1-Mana, well guess what, it's a 2-card removal. They don't generally damage themselves you know! And Whirlwind, 1 Damage or 1 Mana? Really? That's an entire card! Even after I started making use of addtional card draw like Azure Drake and Gnomish Inventor, I'm STILL spending 2 cards to kill 1 card half the time. My hero ability is useless you know, the best I can do is block 2 face-damage every turn....woah. Sure I can block a Pyroblast late in the game...but come on!

These Druids and Mages only play spells, and I can't just stack minions against Hunters and Shamans! They just Buzzard Hounds or Lighting Storm every time!

That said, having lots of fun.

But it's still Beta, the game is unbalanced and they're using the word "Beta" to trick more people into playing an unfinished game.

There are plenty of good warrior players. I disenchanted my Grom because I didn't like their roundabout ways to remove things - rather just have a bunch of big things or lots of damage spells (more on what I play later).

As for execute basically being a 2 for 1... You're suppose to use creatures with synergy for your pinging effects. Obviously, whirlwind with that windfury +1 attack worgen into execute is there. There are a few in class pinging effects - that then in turn give attack. You can either use those to buff your creatures or weaken enemies to execute/do whatever. Plus, warrior has so much ways of getting weapons - class minion gives it too - that is free removal.

I admit I just know what I know from playing as Druid and Shaman which are the marshmallow classes and I do so with 5~6 epics and 3 legendaries in each (I don't know much about warrior).

The primary problem comes from Warrior's Hero ability and horrible card value.

Obviously rocking Enrage creatures and doing the cool plays with them are fun, but they're decent at best, horrible at worse. Warriors don't have the ability to ping off small/low health creatures like Paladins, Rogues, Druids, Mages, and to a less extent Shamans do. And their low-cost multi-plays Class cards can't be sustained like other classes, as Warriors have only 1 Class-draw card, and it's horrible when behind.
Paladins can draw a card per card you have them, Warlocks have a card each turn as well as the Sense Demons spell, Mages have extremely efficient spells and Arcane Intellect, Druids have Multi-use spell's which either draw or damage.

Warrior deck's rely on using your Weapons to create card advantage and controlling the board. Every Fiery Waraxe is worth two 2-cost Minions, every Arcanite Reaper two 4-cost Minions. But if you don't draw into an Axe, you'll run into some problems.

I've seen a few Legendary-rocking Warriors who forgo weapons to pull the same tricks Druids tend to, Ragnaros/Geblin/Black Knight/Shyvana/Carine. But the Class really does get left behind due to it's class cards and hero abilities.

Don't get me wrong, it's a strong class and it's about as balanced as you can ask for a Beta, but Warriors have some rather ineffective cards. Execute does not compare to a Hex, Sheep, Deadly Shot, Naturalize, Assassinate, Siphon Soul. Ass you'l usually trade Face-Damage, Minions, or another card just to use it.

oh, and Priests tend to heal their stuff anyways, damn priests.

Ain't too bad, Warriors just need a few newer class cards, or perhaps other classes need nerfs. Like Mirror Image? Seriously? Mana Worm Coin Mirror Image is the best opening play ever.

Allow me to share a grand tale.

I was facing a man, and I had Mirror Entity in play. He summons Pagle, I get a copy.

First turn cycle of Pagles, he catches one and I catch one.

Second turn cycle, he doesn't catch one and I catch one.

Third turn cycle, I kill his Pagle and I catch one.

And then for the rest of the game I catch one every turn.

I was victorious.

Pure skill????
