I've never read any Manga, in its entirety, in my entire life. All the anime I've watched over the past 20-years has been manga free.

I enjoy manga, but getting to read it is a rarity for me, nowadays. I think of how much anime I can fit into a month here at CR for $6.95 ... and then I remember that manga is $9.99 (or more!) for one volume. *shakes head* Entry cost is so much higher that it's usually better just not to bother. (Yes, I know I can read for free if I go illegal. No, I will never, ever do that.)

I actually read as much manga as i watch anime, i have a separate room actually full with manga's, anime movies, anime role playing games, and some anime shows believe it or not, i actually save up money all the time to buy anime and manga collections and series, its one of my hobbies.

I'm less versed in manga than anime to the point where I wouldn't know where to find translated comics, though the one series I want to read probably in Japanese only.

Nowadays, I don't really read manga. I've got enough stuff to do in my life, so that's just one of the things I've decided to "let go." xD

At my one of my local libraries, they have TONS of manga (and anime) that I can borrow for free! It didn't used to be like that 10-15 years ago, but now it is! So u could always go that route! U might even be able to search the online catalog of your libraries at home.

I'm pretty much an anime-only person. I guess I just like hearing things and seeing things in motion. Now if a local bookstore/library had a lot of manga in stock, I might be motivated to read more manga, but given where I live, the chances of them having manga that 1) are to my taste and 2) don't have anime adaptations are slim-to-none.

I anime a lot but know and then will dive in the manga if I love the universe and want more of the world. Claymore, Gantz and FMP! are all ones I am keeping track off and/ till following. And AOT. HOW CAN YOU NOT BE READING THE MANGA OF ATTACK ON TITAN!?

its costs so much more! i have a budget for visual entertainment and compared to a classic novel, manga just reads way too quick. then your waiting to buy the next one and you end up sacrificing it because its cheaper and easier to watch anime...

still its nice to get every now n then

Not a bad idea, but my library is a bit behind the times, so I have most of the same stuff (from back during the big manga boom of 2002 to early 2011, when Tokyopop was still a going concern).

I don't like manga, and would never seek it out to read by itself.

The few manga series that I have read are due to their anime counterparts being finished, likely never to be renewed like Mysterious Girlfriend X and Kimi ni Todoke and my desire to know what happens to those characters that I learned to like a lot. Even then though, I'll usually drop the manga eventually because I feel like they're a hassle to read.

Light Novels are a different story for me. I usually read them for the same reason that I read manga, but the difference is that I actually enjoy that medium.
