Quiet a few actually.
Earliest would have been near drowning in a pool as very small child i don't even remember it so it hardly counts tho.
After some asthma attacks i had to be reanimated so that could count as near deaths experience i suppose.
Had bad experiences with helicopters as well one construction work we used a Helicopter to get heavy metal pipes on the roof first time didn't work too well and it started to swing right towards my face only thx to a coworker who pulled me bk in the last second did it not smash my head.
Couple years later i got swiped of the roof but luckily enough landed in a balcony and didn't get serious injured.
My whole crew was very lucky ones with a Lighting just barely missing us and hitting the pole we just installed on the roof mere seconds after we dismounted from it (Installing the lighting rod on its top lol)

When I was about 9, my mother and I went to a cafe to eat lunch downtown. After we finished eating, we walked down the walkway and across from the restaurant was an art gallery that held art classes. They had some art displayed outside on the walls. My mom wanted to stop and look at it, and of course, I didn't. After about 20 seconds or so of looking at it, my mom and I walked down the walkway and down to the sidewalk by the road.

We were just about at the sidewalk when a red car drove right past us. Right up the sidewalk. Found out the police were chasing him later. If we hadn't stopped and look at that art, we probably would've died.

When I was around 3 years old, I was rushed to the hospital because all of a sudden I stopped breathing, long story short, I spent 3 months in the hospital, Doctors never found a cause for what happened to me and I was left in a vegetative state, from which my chances of recovering were next to none. Well, I recovered and nowadays, 20 years later, you would never guess that happened to me, unless you were told.

Then there was today...I started work at Walmart this week and today was my second day and during my lunch break, I decided to walk over to McDonalds which is off on the next parking lot and without thinking, I just took the most direct route, which included crossing two busy intresections. When I was crossing the first one, I almost jumped in front of a car without realizing it until the very last moment. In retrospect, I realized how stupid I had been because I could have crossed a single intersection closer to the shopping center where Walmart is at and at a much safer point where the traffic is far less instead of taking the direct route and crossing two intersections right near a crossing light >_<

around 5 months ago...I was riding my bike and nearly got hit by an SUV.

I was doing everything right on the street, it was the driver who was texting and not paying attention to the road. Luckily she managed to stop and I managed to dodge, I got this weird sense telling me I was close to death so I moved out the way.

...swear, stupid bitch should have her license revoked, nearly killed me.

I didn't get addicted. I got dry-mouth and everything aside from the severe paranoia. Never doing that again.

Any thoughts on sharing your paranoid experience? Like sharing graphic details. Paint a picture. Anything?

1. Got caught in a strong current in a river that my family and I used to frequent when I was about 8-9. Forgot all the training my family had done with me and panicked when it happened. I got lucky and latched onto a reed and held on for dear life until my cousin caught up with me and gave me another lecture about swimming with the current.

2. I used to rock back and forth on a bar stool when I was little until I rocked too far one time. I should have cracked the back of my head open on the solid oak chair behind me, but somehow or another I fell far enough to just land sitting down in the chair. One of those moments I felt that someone was looking out for me even though I don't believe in that stuff. The dangerous part being that I was alone and wouldn't have been found for a very long time.

3. I used to drive like I was invincible. I'm lucky I didn't hurt myself or someone else in the second car I owned.

Other than that, a few minor things while driving (this time other people's fault) and I've had a relatively quiet life.

I'm gonna try to go in order from when it happened to when it settled down.

Well, I was in my buddy's truck and he offered me it. I took a grand hit, I think. I felt like throwing up my insides with just the one hit. I couldn't breath or anything and I felt veins form on my head. He asked to drive me to my car, and once he was was doing so, I noticed everything just screwing up. I said I couldn't feel my teeth and breath. I started to get that swelling and dry-mouth. It was a horrid experience in my opinion. Not even knowing, I started to scream. It was unreal. Every single thing was immediately slow. The entire world was slow. I was "testing" my reaction of trying to touch his shoulder in about a second. It took me about 5 seconds to touch his shoulder and hopefully touch it. On top of that, I couldn't feel it.

Another phase started to happen. It went from god-awful slow to sonic fast. Everything was immediately fast like Sonic the Hedgehog or something. My legs started to kick and my eyes went practically everywhere. I was telling my friend that I felt like I could literally race against time. A car went by to my right and it went a little too fast although it wasn't. That's when I started to lose it even more. All of a sudden, it went extremely slow again, couldn't feel anything. I couldn't speak words now. He managed to walk me to my car and I tried to nap it off. I napped for a bit in my car as he left.

It settled to the point that I knew my surroundings, but when I felt something, I could get the sensation on my fingers about 2-3 seconds later. Thus, I had to DRIVE home while the sun was still good for me to see. I couldn't feel the wheel or anything, but I knew how fast I was going and where to go.

It was insane. I may sound dramatic about "ohh, it's just weed man", but I swear, this stuff wanted me to freak out and die. The entire time my body was in severe mode. Not sure if it was laced or I have an allergic reaction, but my paranoia was off the charts with each phase it had on me.

I almost drowned twice, now I'm too afraid of the water to learn how to swim. OTL

There was this time where a car almost crashed into my house. In 4th grade I lived in a house beside the highway and all I remember is hearing a car go vroooooom then a crashing noise
if it wasn't for the fence beside the road the car would've crashed into the room my brother and I were in asfghhjkl;;

(also thank you for this topic i finally found an excuse to make that sound effect lmao)

Never had one but I know someone who has told me of what happened to them.

They did not drink enough fluids and had been laying on a couch when they found themselves getting up to get something to drink they, one noticed they felt lighter but at the time thought nothing of it. That is till they walked through a door in going to the nearby kitchen to get a drink by walking through the closed door. This caused the person to realize they felt light because they were outside of their body. rushing back through the closed door fearing not being able to get back into the physical body. They found it was possible to lower themselves back into the body they could clearly see on the couch.

I had one personal experience myself, it was not a near death though. I was doing the dishes some time ago in the kitchen unloading a dishwasher. My mother was watching a tv show in the connected living room not far. While doing the dishes everything went pitch black as in totally dark. I could not see the light above me or hear the tv at all. While in the pitch black space I was able to think. My first question was, what happened? a good question seeing as all I could detect was darkness a void, vast with nothing in it at all. The next thought was, did I die? at the time I thought it was a good question. Then while in this void of darkness I saw what I will describe as a blue wave sweeping from the darkness. When it touched me or what I would have thought as my space in the darkness. I snapped back to being able to hear and see. My face had tears streaming down it and I was crying. The hand holding the plate was shaking heavily. I was shocked to be in that state. See when I had been doing the dishes nothing would have caused me to cry or shake or be rattled I had been clam. I stumbled out into the living room still shaking with red eyes and my mom was like what in the world happened to you!

sad thing is to this day. I have no clue on what did happen that day.

Anything that is small and annoying will absolutely happen to me, but in situations where I could have and should have died I came out A-OK. When I was about 9 months old I got a hold of an old glass Christmas bulb and took three solid bites, swallowing between each one before I noticed that it hurt. My mum called an ambulance, but I ended up okay. When I was three my dad brought me to his construction site to pick up a check real quick, which was on the third story. Some buildings, especially older ones, have a significant space between the inside wall and the outside wall, so while he was talking and put me down I walked over right off the edge. He saw me fall and went racing down to the basement knowing I was dead, but I wasn't there. He finally looked up via an access panel and saw me where my coat had caught a nail about seven feet from the concrete, and apparently I wasn't even concerned. I personally remember neither of those, both were recounted by my mum and dad.
When I was six I asked my dad to hold my legs up so I could practice a handstand underwater. His friend was there and he has an awful short term memory, so I started blacking out when he wouldn't let go. He's 6'3" so I couldn't reach his legs, and he's a contractor so he didn't even know me kicking with my scrawny kid legs. Everything started going black and white and I could see my arms and they started waving around and getting blurrier with the moment, and I was just about to suck in water and move on from there when my dad's buddy reminded him that I had been underwater a good minute and a half. I still love swimming but I hate being underwater for more then a few seconds.
I went to visit my brother in Arizona. I walked down to a little general store with my mum and sister to get some ice cream. Everything was cool and we started walking back home. We turned the corner and suddenly we heard gun shots behind us and glass shattering. Apparently someone tried to rob the store ... I guess this counts as 'near-death' cuz' who knows what would have happened had we been a few minutes later?
Still in Arizona but we went out with quads in the desert. It hit a record high of 119* F that summer, so the desert was boiling. I was like twelve, and was going a bit too fast (about 30 mph), and suddenly a big rock appears in front of me. I do the typical kid thing of screwing my eyes closed and hoping for the best ... hit the rock with my front right tire, sent the front end five feet into the air. There was a dry creek bed in front of me with a steep slope going down. I fall off the quad in midair, hit the ground and the ATV lands on my head. I remember bouncing high and catching a glimpse of the quad rolling after me. I hit the creek bed and the thing lands on my legs and pins me to the ground. The engine is pressed against my calf and I can feel my skin burning. The rocks are just as hot though and now all I'm doing is screaming for help. My brother is way ahead of me, but my sis notices and after realizing she can't lift it she drives ahead and gets him. (He's twice my age) I finally get out and besides alot of scrapes and rocks imprinted in my skin I'm okay. However, my helmet is wrecked ... the one side is completely caved in from a rock and the whole thing is cracked in half from it landing on my head.
Just last week I was waiting to park in a garage for work when all of a sudden I hear a squealing and look over to my right just in time to see some old fart in a minivan spinning out into the middle of the road. The attendant told me he was heading right for at about 15mph and only jerked out of the way at the last second. If he had hit me, it would have been the driver's side door, and I would have totally died.
Walked away from every one like a boss.
(JUST KIDDING, THANK YOU JESUS)
