I'm not a fan of apple, so until there's something better it'll be an Android. I won't buy an apple product of any kind. I like my android because my numbers were updated when I bought the phone just connecting it to my G-mail account that updated the contacts from my e-mail contacts. Google Maps worked from day one. Google owns Youtube, so I can link my droid tablet or phone to my PS3 so I can control what I watch (youtube related) on my plasma from my tablet acting as a remote control and by adding new videos to my queue. Every device connects seamlessly from my PS3, Tablet and Samsung Conquer that I can use all three interchangeably.

I have a few Apple products, but the Iphone is not one of them. I have no interest in the IPhone what so ever, just dont see any advantages to owning an Iphone. Price wise, my current phone was just as expensive as the 5S, so cost to me is rather unimportant.

My Android phone allows me far more customization of the UI than the IPhone does first of all. It also allows me to add a microSD card and use my phone as a USB drive if i need to. Android has been able to do video chat for just as long as facetime has, so, to me facetime is not really a selling point. Not only that but facetime is tied to IOS, meaning that if dont have IOS, you cnat use it. As far as i am aware, on desktops, as long as you have a gmail account, you are fully capable of doing video chat.

There is a reason why Apple has gradually been losing market share on cell phones to Android and Windows phones surprisingly. The only country where Apple seems to have a strong hold on its market share is in the US.

As far as price, the decent Android phones all cost the same as the iPhone- off the top of my head, Samsung GS4, HTC One, Note 3. Nexus is the exception and it's actually the best Android phone. So I don't think price is a factor when choosing between iPhone and Android. Now, if you try to nickle and dime and go with the Craptastic 9000 phone then yeah, it's way cheaper than the iPhone but then you are gonna have a very bad Android experience

Android,

Why? Because 95% of all the IPhones I have encountered Usually brocken in some way or another, usually a smashed screen. So I guess I like androids for there durability. I don't change my phone often, even when a new one comes out. I still got my Samsung galaxy S2. And it has taken a fair beating but the screens still not broke, and everything that I know of still works perfectly fine.

I am strictly Android when it comes to phones, reasons are stated by the other members As for tablets I guess I'd either go for a Microsoft Surface Pro 2 or an Android tablet. But at that price range I might consider a laptop although it won't be as portable :/

I like the usability on iOS, it got a friendly interface and the design looks good (except iOS 7, it looks too childish). However... it's slow as hell. To boot an iPhone takes ages.

I like the speed on Android, it boots and start apps much faster. But the usability.. meh. But it's getting better with the latest release.

Android because it's cheaper and has less restrictions than Apple devices.

Android all the way baby. I get everything I want on a Galaxy S4 without the need to jailbreak it. Nevermind it's superior specs to the Iphone 5.

In all honesty I can't wait for this phonebloks thing. It's basically like building custom PCs, except it's with phones.

As a Android master one must perfect the droid to know all of it's potential.
1. Soo many free or cheap apps

2. Open source(more "things" you can do with droid) and unrestricted use unlike Apple.

3. Free tethering to your laptop, desktop or Tablet's using only a app (which literally saves me about $320 a month in data)

4. Many types of Android phones(not just one or two models) this means Motorola, Samsung, LG and more...soo many choices and the OS is just awesome.

THE END

I completely agree with your second point, unrestricted use is one of the main reasons that I prefer Android.

Ahh, so you have heard of phone blocks too....its a great idea, but I don't know if the phone company's will give into it.
Have there new developments that you heard about phone blocks getting serious notoriety form phone company's?
I'm curious

Nothing big has happened yet. Custom computer building hasn't crashed the Intel and AMD market, so I doubt Phonebloks would do any significant damage. I really like it though, because it will enable cheaper phone prices due to customization, and greater variety than, and I don't like to say this, but greater variety than Android and Apple could ever give.

I have a custom built PC, and I will never buy a PC from a store again. It's cheaper, and you get what YOU want. Think of that now, but with a phone.

I have an Android and it sucks. At first I loved it because it was my first smart phone but later on down the road I started to hate it because it couldn't play my music and won't support Anime Network. I plan on switching to the iPhone 5S this February. I'm an Apple person and I don't care how much they cost because I know they are built to last.
