You guys are some juggernauts, I think I can count on two hands the amount of series I've completed.

I got some catching up to do lol.

Wasn't there a thread already like this?

Anyway, I've lost count of all the anime that I've merely seen, but in terms of series I've completed, there are 181 (232 if we're counting multiple seasons).

I think maybe i've seen (without completing) anywhere from 30 - 80 additional series. In other words, series where i've watched part of it and dropped it, seen famous scenes from it, or am just generally familiar with it.

I only really watch what i'm interested in, though. I salute the true fans and reviewers who not only rack up large numbers, but who are capable of watching anime for anime's sake lol. Plus I've ignored several classics because, quite frankly, I wasn't interested XD

Probably. I'm sure Lorreen will be around in the morning to lock this if there is.

Recently started a Hummingbird account. I think my library has about 950 entries, which equates to 5 months and 13 days worth of anime. I don't really care to do the breakdown between TV/OVA/movies.

I suggest grabbing a list of 12-episode or shorter series. OVA's from the 90's are generally short and worth some bonus points. Like Record of Lodoss wars or Golden Boy, those each took me a night to watch and I didn't regret it!

around 100+ i think maybe a little below.

if i didnt watch series like bleach and fairy tail on a marathon id probs be able to add another 20+ to the list

also why do people buy dvd/blu ray of anime its an unlimited source of it online

all of it is online, but not all of it is legal. some people would rather legally own a physical product than a pirated download. it helps support the industry as well, and high sales of the physical product is also how production studios determine if a series is worth more of their time or not.

i get were your coming from but i can only think id buy for fma brotherhood and probs sao..

I think my main problem is that there's so much to watch, so I end up trying to watch too much. Start one series, start a second one. Second one takes over, first one is forgotten, rinse and repeat. I think my CR queue alone has like 70 shows in it, some I've actually seen but have yet to remove, but most of it is stuff I've been meaning to watch. I've watched quite a few first or second episodes, but just always find something better that takes over.

Hell, I actually have a few blu-rays that I have yet to complete for the same reasons.

Then factor in that I don't watch it that often as it is. Maybe an episode or two at a time, and rarely on consecutive nights unless it's a really good series. I marathoned Anohana in like 2 or 3 days, but I just finished Love Lab, which took like 3 weeks or so. I actually thought it was hilarious too, but since it's a comedy the plot wasn't all that deep so it wasn't exactly something like Clannad where you're kind of sucked into the series.

I also struggle with juggling series too. The plots get all convoluted on me and it makes it not as good an experience. For me anyways. So it's usually one at a time, which only makes the backlog grow exponentially it seems.

There's an absurd number of different anime that I've watched a couple of episodes of (since I prefer watching anime for 1-2 hours a day instead of other television/movies.)

However, anime seasons that I've actually finished are unusual.
If you count every season of an anime (12-24 episodes if the seasons don't have names), I've watched 45 full seasons in 19 years.. and can name them
