Put all the yaoi, yuri, bisexuals(if they exist), and hetero obvious along with crack pairing aside. I'm gonna need to hear something serious from the comments.

Asexuals lack interest in sex.

Aromantics lack interest in romance.

Do you know ANY character that is either both or one of the two words listed above?

I want actual aromantic/asexual anime characters.

My Turn:

The only character I can think of is Izaya Orihara.

Let me know if a thread similar to this one exist.
Thanks a bunches.

No arguments...please.

Hmmmmm... offhand, I'd say Ichigo Morino from Please, Teacher - she wasn't interested in any sort of romance for herself (partly because of her status), but still tried to ship others. Pretty sure there was a similar character in Ano Natsu de Matteru as well, since it had so many parallels to Please, Teacher.

Have to think hard to find others... but I mostly watch romantic comedies, and those are very short on unpaired characters...

From the Anime, Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (Hellsing) always struck me as being asexual, though she seems to have a very strong oral fixation, so....

Note: I have yet to see the final two episodes of Hellsing Ultimate because the commies at Hulu haven't put them up yet. It's possible Integra got laid somewhere toward the end, and I don't know it yet. I suppose they would need a blood line successor to keep that organization going, so it would only make sense if Integra gave birth.

Thanks for the comment.

It is hard to really think about those types of characters.

And some are just hard to classify.. like Dorothy Catalonia from Gundam Wing - was she aromantic, or so focused on her goals that she didn't have time for romance? Taishi Kuhonbutsu from Comic Party doesn't seem to have any romantic desires for the most part.. except he's the number 1 fan of the show's idol, which may or may not be a romantic pursuit - he might just be trying to make sure no one else dates her so that she remains a pure idol untouched by suitors.

Also depends on when in the show we're talking about... Souske Sagara, Heero Yui both started out as soldiers with little emotion (both qualify as aromantic / asexual to start, I'd say), but changed over time - which could (maybe should) disqualify them from being listed here.

Xellos, from Slayers, is an interesting case. Slayers Try put him in a sexual tension pairing with another character, but that season is mostly disregarded as non-canon. In all other representations, he's a trickster, but completely asexual / aromantic.

No one's said LeLouch?

Sinbad from Magi is arguable as well.

Hachiman Hikigaya from (this seems so ironic XD) My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, or Oregairu for short. He has only 2 very small instances of sexual thoughts throughout the series, but they're mere seconds and he quickly puts them aside almost effortlessly. He's also the most aromantic character I have ever seen..."anti-romantic" suits him better, since he even monologues about how pointless and meaningless it is. Overall he's a great character too, easily one of my favorites.

Lelouch was more focused on his goal to making the world perfect for Nunnally(slight sister complex). I was gonna say Lloyd as well but decided to stick with Izaya.

Does Hideyoshi from Baka No Test count?

Because I'm pretty sure he is asexual in a whole different way.

That is a tough one. Hideyoshi is indeed a guy though you have to question his sexuality, excluding the fan made pairings of him.
Hideyoshi...strikes me as androgynous. I'll accept him.

Sometimes I wonder about Johan from Monster. I can't really say if he's asexual because his character is so mysterious but I have really difficult time picturing him having any sort of sexual or romantic relationship.

Agreed. Isn't she made to be that way though?
